"We really loved this out of the way find which proved a good base for discovering the delights of central Portugal: Gois with river beach, Figueira da Foz, Coimbra, all in good striking distance (with car) and Denise has plenty of further suggestions. Handy supermarket, nice garden and relaxing place to chill (as my daughter says)."

"This house is charming and has lots to offer in warmer weather than March. Luckily the fireplace in the main living area had a blower and there were two heaters because there is no central heat. We blew the fuses several times using the heaters and hot water or cooking. Electricity is lacking and the listing says there is an oven, washing machine and two showers, this is not so. Also the stove is a two burner cooktop . BUT...besides the inaccurate amenities we enjoyed the ambiance of the house...

Les espaces sont très bien agencés, les 3 salles de bain et le très grand espace de pièce à vivre rendent la cohabitation nombreuse agréable et confortable. Sébastien est à l écoute et il lui tient à cœur que ses locataires passent le meilleur séjour possible. Village très tranquille avec supérette, dépôt de bain, café à moins de 100m. Plein de chouettes rando autour et de multiples coins debaignade possibles."

"Lovely rural 2 story cottage...Hazel had to "fetch" us because the beautiful place is hard to find. Do not attempt to arrive after dark. We used as a base to explore northern Portugal. A lime tree grows outside your kitchen window! We didn't use the pool but sat there for the fantastic sunsets. Beautiful experience."

"we enjoyed our stay and place is lovely, bed is comfortable and shower is hot - little kitchen has all the basics and a washer dryer available. please be aware that the bathroom is downstairs from the lofted bedroom in case you are someone who has to get up frequently during the night. we would definitely come back. had good contact with owner who was very responsive. only small issue was we didn't receive the code to get into the door before arrival, but fortunately she saw us trying to get in...

"Sadly the weather was cold and wet but our dear host did everything in her power to overcome our discomfort. Sadly the wood burning stove smoked, the new induction hobs had no pans that worked. However on the plus side the place is fabulous had the weather been good the pool would have been great it was lovely. We were taken to see our host’s cheese making facility which was fascinating.
