"The location is beautiful. Yes: You will hike up and down but you will love the space, the view, the cleanliness. The friendliness of the man who checked us in and the accommodation of an earlier check-in. The water pressure in the shower and the inability for it to get truly hot are our only real concerns. I imagine the hosts will work on this."

"Lovely week spent in this wonderful vacation property views from the decking out to sea were fabulous restaurants and supermarket within walking distance and great communication from owner very helpful really enjoyed our relaxing break Thanks again"

"Lovely small town of Prazeres with multiple excellent restaurants and a lovely well appointed house. Very clean & spacious for the 4 of us with outside space for relaxing in the evening. Air Con was a blessing ! One improvement would be a more modern smart TV to access Netflix etc especially for the youngsters, other than this its perfect."

"We were so positively surprised! The place is great. Close to the city centre and easy to find free parking nearby :)) But the view... We spent so much time just looking at the sea from the top balcony 😍 Highly recommend:))!!"

"We loved our stay at Pedro's and wouldn't hesitate to go back. Pedro was a very friendly, helpful host. The apartment was very clean, with everything needed for a holiday stay. The roof terrace was ideal for lazy days and evening drinks. It is an easy walk into the centre of Funchal and the walk back is not a problem, but would recommend a taxi (4-5 euro) if retuning from supermarket. Thank you Pedro 😁"

"Das Haus ist sehr groß, so dass man mit 6 Personen sich auch mal gut aus dem Weg gehen kann. Die Küche ist sehr geräumig und gut ausgestattet. In 15 Geh-Minuten ist man in der Altstadt. Parken war in der Straße auch kein Problem. Dafür das in dem Haus kein Haustier erlaubt ist, lebt dort leider eine Katze, die auch in dem Haus sich gut auskennt. Dieses war für uns sehr unangehm insbesondere wenn man eine Katzenhaarallergie hat. "

"We stayed for 10 days in the property as a base to explore Madeira. The property was perfect for all 5 of us, lots of space, well equipped and immaculate. Anna is the host and is the loveliest person. She had baked us xakes for our arrival and supplied us with extra beach towels when needed. She also provided basic food and fruit., lots of advice about the area including a local farmers market we would never have known about. We loved our stay and visited most of the island. "Really this house has a perfect location. It’s walking distance from many restaurants, some shops and a grocery store. All with a view of the ocean. Bedrooms are on the top floor with the kitchen and living room below. The master bedroom has an amazing view with a patio to sit outside and have coffee. We would happily stay here again if we come back to Madera."

"Carolina was a great host! The place was clean and so peaceful up on the mountain side near the airport. Under 30 min drive to the main trails or Funchal. The only downside is the roads leading up to the property were quite steep and narrow-you definitely have to be a decent driver. Cannot wait to stay there again. "

"The house is beautiful. The pool area is an amazing place to take in the views, sunsets and relax. The directions and accompanying literature provided by the host are very informative and answered all of our questions about using the house amenities. Highly recommend taking advantage of the bakery delivery truck that drives past every morning at ~9:15. There is a nespresso machine and drip/filter coffee maker for caffeine needs. If we’re ever back in Madeira, we will hope to stay here again....

"We very much enjoyed our stay here. It was only a 10 minute walk to the marina. We found the breakfast to be especially delicious with plenty of choices. The coffee was fabulous . Staff are very attentive, friendly, and helpful."

"The hotel is above a shopping centre without any grounds around the hotel, however, it is in an excellent location within easy walking distance to the old town. All the staff were very helpful throughout our stay. The bedroom was sleek and modern with an ‘open plan’ shower/wash area. The beds were very comfortable with 3 different pillows varying from soft to firm. There are no views other than from the rooftop swimming pool and bar area but this didn’t significantly detract from the stay as we were out most of the time. The breakfast buffet was excellent with good quality ingredients and freshly squeezed orange juice. We were also amused by the mobile robot which took the dirty dishes back to the kitchen. Overall the hotel lives up to it’s 5 star billing, is excellent value for money and I would highly recommend a stay at the Vine the next time you are in Funchal."

"The breakfast was fresh, with a variety of choice. The bedroom was nice clean and spacious with a view that was amazing to watch the sunrise each morning from the balcony. The facilities were good, the bus services 155 into town always punctual and again the journey to Funchal had amazing ocean and hilltop views, with winding roads offering a nice sceneric veiws. I enjoyed my stay and would highly recommend."
