The area might make some people feel uncomfortable, but I never felt threatened. 2 metro stations are close by and you can be in the centre quite quickly. Possibly factor in taking a taxi from the metro to the hotel if you’re travelling back late and you’re not used...

My child was sick and the staff on duty for breakfast went out of her way to help us to get ambulance and made sure the ambulance staff met with us before taking off.
