"This property was exactly what we were looking for. Stunning views and far away from the hustle of city life. The house was quaint and enough room for seven of us. There is no central air conditioning, just a heat pump on the first floor but opening the windows to the ocean air as Todd suggested was more than sufficient to cool the rooms down in the night. "We needed a place to freeze some packs for medication and these hosts went above and beyond to help. They also provided us with fresh eggs and blueberries from their homestead. Place was clean and she had the radio playing when we came in. So sweet! The water was warm and clear for us and was so nice to wade in. "Home wad built in 1947 and is dated, original kitchen and and home had a musty smell. No throw pillows or blankets for sofas, no wine or beer glasses, no coffee table erc. Electrial not up to date, had to turn everything of when not home because it was considered a fire hazard. For the price expected more from VRVO."

Better than we even expected - a slice of heaven in Nova Scotia.

"Our group included three young people (ages 18-22) and all of us were incredibly impressed with the lodging itself - a whole charming house - and especially with the location, near the lovely town of Antigonish and very near to a fantastic 4 km long beach (Pomquet Beach) with seals, fir trees, spectacular sunsets, etc. We went in January - not a time in Nova Scotia for the timid - and the house was warm and cozy and the host had the driveway plowed for us as soon as we asked. The house itself sits across from a beautiful body of water and we spent a great deal of time on the porch just taking it all in. The host was extra kind, thoughtful, and communicative. We cannot wait to go back!"
