Family holiday home with swimming pool: rest, relaxation and fitness.
Pomérols is 8 minutes from the Etang de Thau and 14 minutes from Marseillan-Plage.
In this a typical south of France village, all the shops are a 5-minute walk away, and the supermarket a 15-minute walk (5 minutes by car).
For family holidays, for a relax and a sunny change of scenery, and if you wish a little fitness, you will find :
- 4-room villa, 100m2, on one level, completely refurbished to current standards of comfort and standing, air-conditioned: 3 bedrooms, each with a bathroom or shower room. Each bedroom has a double bed (1.60x2m).
The living room is spacious, with a study area, a library-TV lounge with 2 large sofas, a dining room and a lovely new open-plan kitchen.
- A landscaped, private 800m2 garden is reserved for you.
- The private swimming pool is secured with a motorised roller shutter. You'll enjoy using the 8-metre-long walking bench in 50cm of water, with a maximum depth of 1.40 metres. Robotic cleaning is automated.
Water heating is available on request from 15 May to the end of June and from 15 September to the end of October.
The terrace is made of natural stone tiles. The XXL pergola with picnic tables, a barbecue and a hammock. You'll love its coolness under the wisteria.
- The house has 3 verandas, in the first of which you will find a dry-heat sauna, a SPA and static bikes....
The second veranda is reserved for evening and morning meals in the summer; lunchtime meals can be very pleasant in bad weather during the off-season.
The small third veranda is ideal for teleworking, telephoning or playing card games with your partner....
- You can park your car in the shade of a covered area at the entrance to the property.
The medieval village square, in the heart of the Beauvignac and Picpoul wine estates, guarantees a southern atmosphere. I invite you to have a coffee under the plane trees in the little Place du Jeu de Ballon, just 400m from the house, in one of the two cafés/bar/restaurants, for a taste of the fresh morning air and to enjoy the Marcel Pagnol-style midday accent....
If you're more sporty, why not hop on one of our bicycles and take a stroll along the vineyard paths or cycle along the ‘voie verte’ to the Etang de Thau. You can then stop off at the Bagnas observatory to watch the wild birds: pink flamingos, egrets and swans.... Or why not pedal down to the beach at Marseillan?
Finally, to keep your children happy (and not only), you'll enjoy spending a few hours on one of the immense sandy beaches of Marseillan-plage or La Tamarissière: 10 minutes by car for the former and 20 minutes for the latter.
Young and old alike will be delighted to visit the dinosaur park (very educational), or go to the Luna-parc in Marseillan-Plage...., a 15-minute drive away.
If you'd like to do a bit of sightseeing in the area, I'd recommend Pézenas, the city of Molière, 15 minutes away by car, the red earth of the Lac du Salagou, and the Pilgrim's Way to Santiago de Compostela at Saint Guilhem le Desert via the Pont du Diable: all less than an hour away by car. You can also visit Sète, the Camargue National Park, Carcassonne or the Cathar castles, Collioure... Rosas and Cadaquès in Spain are 2 to 3 hours away by car.
PS: Françoise and Philippe, your owners, live in the small cottage at the same address. They will be at your disposal in the mornings from 8.30am to 9.30am and in the evenings from 7pm to 8pm.
We kindlly ask you to be respectful towards the neighborhood.
