Trulli & Dimore - Villa Caterina

Villa with access to the sea.
Detached villa completely fenced off the sea in San Vito near the new port of Polignano a Mare and with private access to the Porto Cavallo beach in a wonderful setting of rocks and sand. The villa is surrounded by a large square and solarium equipped with deck chairs and a large outdoor shower.
The villa is on two floors: on the groundfloor there is a large living area with sitting room and kitchen with access to the terrace overlooking the sea where you can enjoy panoramic dinners on a large wooden table and chairs. Loungers to sunbathe. Barbecue.
On the groundfloor there is a master bedroom with a french size bed and a spacious bathroom with bath and shower. A staircase leads to the lower floor where there are two suites with double bedrooms with private bathroom and shower, two double bedrooms with single beds and another bathroom with shower for the double bedrooms. Laundry room.
A short walk from the villa there are Cafès, restaurants and any tourist attractions you can fancy. Polignano a Mare is one of the most famous villages in the area and it fascinates many tourists for its characteristic location on the rocks with a breathtaking panoramic view. The historical centre is the area of most interest with its narrow streets and its several pubs.
Few kilometres away you can visit other villages and towns such as Castellana Grotte, Monopoli, Ostuni, Cisternino, Martina Franca and Locorotondo and Matera, recently entitled the Capital of Culture 2019.

Online check-in is mandatory: it is free and can be done up to the day before arrival. If this is not done, € 55.00 will be charged (check in fee).

Restful and Lovely
This villa was more than we expected. Clean, charming, great view of the water. Host very accommodating. There was an issue with the gates, but I am sure that has been resolved. We will book this villa again in the future!

Perfetta per gruppi numerosi
La villa è perfetta per accogliere gruppi numerosi con i suoi spazi ampi e l’accesso diretto al mare. Comodissima per chi, come me, non ama lo stress delle vacanze al mare in cui devi svegliarti presto per trovare posto, parcheggiare e stare tutto il giorno sotto al sole. Basta aprire una porticina e ci si trova ad un metro dall’acqua. Consigliate le scarpette da scoglio, la maschera e un materassino/tavoletta se non sapete stare a galla nell’acqua alta. Comodissima anche la doccia esterna nel cortile della casa. Splendida la veranda che affaccia sul mare dotata di un comodo divanetto, sdraie, barbecue e un grande tavolo in legno. Le camere al piano di sotto sono spaziose e fresche in quanto interrate per metà. La casa è a 2 km dal centro di Polignano che può essere raggiunto anche a piedi in mezz’ora passando per la pista ciclabile che affaccia sul mare. Il soggiorno è stato così bello che credo proprio che ci torneremo. 😊

Nous avons passé une très bonne semaine de vacances dans cette villa. Nous étions 2 familles et la maison a été parfaite (4 SDB pour 9 personnes !) L’accès direct à la mer est très appréciable. La terrasse avec vue sur la mer est particulièrement agréable quelque soit le moment de la journée. Les photos du site ne rendent pas hommage à la maison qui est beaucoup mieux en vrai ! Location à recommander

We have visited this villa with 10 people from 10-14 October 2018. Location and villa were great. Nice people! As far as coffee maker is concerned, it is unfortunate that they are not suitable for large groups of people.

Wonderful holiday, but ......
Villa Caterina We had a marvellous holiday in Puglia - excellent sea food, interesting towns and glorious sunshine. Villa Caterina is conveniently located for Polignano and Bari, there are good nearby restaurants in walking distance (particularly Cala Ponte) and a nice local bay for swimming with convenient access. But, Villa Caterina itself was something of a disappointment. It is described as 'beachside' and 'directly on the sea'. In reality another large property, Villa Blu, is between Caterina and the sea. And from Villa Blu, which offers apartments to rent, loud music disturbs the peace at almost any time of day. Villa Caterina is under provisioned for eight persons. The coffee percolators serve three at most; not every bedroom has blinds, or a mirror, or a place to hang towels and beach towels are not provided. We have holidayed happily in villas in many different Italian locations - Villa Caterina does not compare well.

Amazing Villa
Where to start? We rented this wonderful contemporary villa close to Polignano a mare in Puglia for one week. We could not have been happier. The villa is spacious with 5 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms with 2 bathrooms being en suite. There is a large common space with a well equipped kitchen and a flat screen TV. The best part is the large patio overlooking the beach that one has private access to. The beach is NOT private ( beaches in Italy are by law public) , but the access is private. The large yard is perfect for children to run and play The outside shower is perfect for washing sand off before getting into the house. There is reliable WIFI service. The views are magnificent and the washing machine is very handy. I recommend to have a rental car to get to the supermarket which is a 5 minute drive into town. We had a wonderful stay , cooking fresh food and enjoying the beach.

Comfort relax privacy a pochi metri dal mare
Ho avuto il piacere di soggiornare in questa deliziosa villa durante il mese di Aprile fino alla metà di Maggio .La villa e' spaziosa ,comoda ,molto silenziosa e privata in quanto è situata all'interno di una strada privata in fondo alla quale si trova il cancello della villa stessa .L'arredamento è semplice ma funzionale e di grande qualità .Le camere da letto spaziose, dotate di ottimi materassi e ognuna con proprio bagno, ognuno dei quali di diverso colore :) La terrazza e' ventilata e con vista mare, ma la vera chicca di questa villa e' l'accesso privato ad una piccola spiaggia a pochi metri dalla casa .Avendo soggiornato qui durante il periodo di bassa stagione la spiaggia era deserta e quasi esclusiva e a maggio ho avuto il piacere di poter fare il primo bagno dell'anno ...un paradiso :) Consiglio questa villa a chiunque desiderasse una vacanza all'insegna della comodità e privacy . Ci tengo ad aggiungere che lo staff della "Trulli e case " si è' dimostrato disponibile efficiente e di preziosa cortesia :))
