Getting there
By Car
Please follow postcode BN26 5UX as access to the parking space is located at the rear of the property on West Street. Once on West Street - and this is best accessed through the Sloe Lane car park which is on your right as you enter the village from the A27 direction. On turning left once through the car park you should soon see a Badgers Tea Room sign - it is here that you need to make a left turn into the parking area and there you will find the allocated parking space over to there left side by the garden gate.
Please do not park anywhere else within this space as we have neighbours who also use this parking area.
It should also be noted that the turn into the parking area from West Street can be rather tight and you will need to make as wide a turning circle as possible. Likewise when leaving the car park due care and attention is needed as again the reverse turn can be challenging to inexperienced drivers. This is the nature of living in a small cottage in a small country village.
Other parking options are the Sloe Lane car park which is free for three hours - this can be sometimes more convenient in certain situations - or there is a free paying car park on North Street just before entering the village from the A27 direction.
By train
Berwick (Southern Rail) station is on the Brighton - Eastbourne line and less than two and a half miles away and a short taxi ride to Alfriston. There is a limited direct service from London Victoria to Berwick in the mornings and evenings at certain times - or at all other times during the day it is one change at Polegate.
Nearest Airport
London Gatwick is forty miles from Alfriston. On exiting the airport you should head south on the A23 before joining the eastbound A27 in the direction of Lewes and Eastbourne. Follow the A27 for approximately fifteen miles before looking out for a right turn at a large roundabout signposting Drusillas Park and Alfriston. Turn here and then follow directions by car as listed above.
