"It was a fine apartment, very close to the best beach in Lagos and scenic boardwalk trails! We appreciated the location, having so much space to spread out, and extra towels for the beach. "I didn’t realize that the property was far from the strip. Expedia said 18 min walk but the walk is down many streets. There are no restaurants nearby, we had to hop in the car to get anywhere. It was a close drive to carvoeiro downtown and a good location to do hiking but everything must be accessed with a car. There is someone at the reception desk til dusk, then a security guard is there overnight. There is parking on site. The suite is large, clean and has a washing machine and a large...

"Been to these apartments a few years ago and it looks like it has changed hands. The apartment is in need of repair the patio door was broken couldn’t lock, the shower was broken and the kettle kept tripping the electric. No clean towels and the patio area needed a brush as glass was all over it sorry to say won’t be going back there also seagulls in the pool "

"A washer was broken. We arrived after 7:30 almost didn’t get in. When I booked it said 8. The office was closed but someone was in and gave us the key. Not very instructions as to what to do or how to find the place. After a little bit we figured out how to get in and where to go. Pool & laundry close early and don’t open until later. So we were unable to enjoy or use. "

"Great location to the strip. Nice big rooms complete with large kitchen and bathroom - perfect for 3 or 4 people. Pool area was really good including the bar. Bit of a walk to the beach but not too bad at all. Can be a bit noisy as allows pets but other than that brilliant stay! "

"This is a wonderful hotel and the staff are what make it. Very friendly and accommodating, food is lovely with plenty of choice. I don’t tend to eat meat when I am Away but they had plenty to choose from. Drinks are great and they have entertainment on every night until 11 which is great, a good couples hotel "

"It was a great place. Too bad the Beach access was under construction. Breakfast was awesome. The only complaint was the noise on the forth floor when the restaurant moves all the bottles (garbage)around 10:00 pm This is a place I would go back to again. "

Hotel Califórnia Urban Beach – Adults only

"We stayed here for 4 nights and our stay was great. The staff on reception were so friendly and helpful and greeted us every time with a smile and hello as we were on the same floor. The staff at breakfast and at the bar were also friendly and welcoming. Our room was great with a balcony over looking the pool. The spa treatments were great and value for money was amazing. The only thing to comment on which wasn’t too big an issue was the ‘gym’. An outside area with machines which were weathered and not your usual expectation of a gym. There were lots of reviews commenting about the noise but yeah it was noisy when our balcony door was open but not enough to interrupt our sleep or put us off our stay. Great hotel for location and great facilities with great people that work there."

"Everything was great with this hotel -the location & quietness especially, and the ambience in lobby area was great too. Only experienced a tiny hiccup in restaurant in one evening, as we turned up without booking and the lady staff made us feeling totally unwelcoming and kept us waiting for 3 minute or so without any greeting nor smiling/eye contact, luckily another male staff turned up and took us to table & settled, we ended up having a lovely evening again- appreciated! "
