"We had a great stay in Hauptmannsberg near Aidenbach in the lovingly refurbished farmhouse. Although the house was a little more remote than we expected, we were able to visit nearby towns and cities easily. The neighbors were very nice. We bought eggs from one neighbor and another neighbor accepted a stroller which was lost at the airport. "We spent nearly two weeks in this nice little cabin. Everything was very comfortable and the surroundings were beautiful. There is a very small kitchen, so do not expect to do large gourmet meals, but who wants to do that on vacation anyway? There are at least two grocery stores within a couple of miles, and it was easy to find quick to prepare food. The cabin is very comfortable, but do be aware that there are some very steep stairs.
