Waterfront Cottage on Private Lake with Dock

Nestled between oaks and pines along the East-facing shoreline of Big Sandy Pond, our welcoming little cottage beckons the vacation experience, a perfect spot to relax during the summer. Spend your days kayaking, sailing, fishing, or water skiing from your own private dock on the lake. Swim in the crystal clear lake at the beautiful white sand neighborhood beach a mere two-minute walk away.

The 134-acre lake is managed as a catchable trout pond and is annually stocked in the spring and fall with Brook, Brown, and Rainbow trout. Just 15 minutes from Cape Cod and historic Plymouth and only 45 minutes from Boston and Providence, a myriad of activities await you and your family.

Whether you enjoy water sports, or like to golf, shop, eat, or visit the many nearby historic sites and museums, everyone will find something special at Big Sandy Cottage.

Fully furnished cottage with two bedrooms, sleeping loft, and one bath. Sleeps four in the bedrooms, up to two small kids in the loft, and two additional adults on the living room sofa bed.

Large 10' x 30' deck overlooking the lake is perfect for an afternoon barbecue. Large private dock extends 28' into the lake with a 8' x 16' swim platform

Free Wireless Internet, TV, DVD (with movie library), stereo, provisioned kitchen, and all linens are included.

There is even a basement storage room with laundry facilities. Off street parking with room for boat trailer is available.

Although I stayed in February watching the surmise over the water was still beautiful. The kitchen is well appointed and beds were cozy. If I’m ever back in Cape Cod, I’d stay again!

Great Getaway
Perfect sized cottage overlooking beautiful pond. Owner was very responsive to questions and easy to work with. We came on a rainy/cold 4 day weekend so didn’t get to enjoy anything but the view. The property is clean and updated. Would definitely recommend and return.

Fantastic house in a gorgeous location
The lake house at Big Sandy Pond was extremely restful and FUN! We enjoyed the beautiful sunrise in the morning, the gorgeous fall leaves, and the kayaking! It was a perfect week, and the house was fully equipped to provide maximum comfort for a perfect vacation. We couldn't be happier!

We love this cabin. It’s a perfect location for us. The Kayak, the float and the noodle got lots of use. Minor problems were the sliding screen door, the leak and the shade in the twin bedroom but they did not detract from our overall stay

Comfy & Cozy Cottage
My family enjoyed our weekend getaway @ this lovely cottage. It was perfect for our family of four. Beautiful view and relaxing atmosphere. Friendly neighbors in lovely town. Communication with Jeff was excellent. The cottage is super comfy and the hosts have thought of everything to make their guests feel comfortable. I would highly recommend this rental and look forward to renting again.

Best way to start the summer!
Such a nice and relaxing place! The view of the pond is beautiful. The water was easy to get into and very clear, made for fun to float and swim in. The house was super cute and had everything you needed. Most time was spent on the porch or dock by the water! Quiet and friendly neighbors. Definitely would recommend and would love to come back!

We had a great time, the views are awesome....
Just beautiful view in the morning over coffee...location is close to everything. We took the train out of Kingston into Boston to Faneuil Hall, went all over Plymouth, lunch in the Cape, Wareham Cranberry fest....easy to get to all. We love to read in the evening after a long day out & about, Boston Herald, Boston Globe, etc...our only suggestion would a reading light of some kind. Thanks so much for sharing your place !

Just beautiful
The most perfect cottage for our getaway from the UK - we had unbelievable luck with the weather in April, the most stunning sunrises across the peaceful lake view and a lovely, well equipped , homely base from which to explore both Cape Cod and all that reaches towards Boston. Very nice cottage!
Perfect! It was clean upon arrival. Everything you need is provided right down to movies, books, and games. Loved waking up in the morning to the view of the pond and sitting on the spacious deck drinking our coffe. Will definitely stay again. I needed to ask Jeff a couple of questions and he was quick to respond and very accommodating.

Another perfect stay on Big Sandy!
This is our 3rd stay renting this property and it never disappoints. The home is exactly as pictured and the large deck, dock, and views make the property amazing. Communication with the Lewis family was easy. Check in was simple. Neighbors are very kind and some even remembered us and our young son from last year. I would recommend this property to anyone looking for a lake vacation spot. It is the perfect mix of quiet and peaceful but also extremely family friendly for fun beach days. We will definitely be looking to return next summer for our 4th year!

Big Sandy Pond Cottage
Our family really enjoyed the Big Sandy Pond cottage. The location is excellent. Your right on the water for daily fishing and quick drive to Oncet beach which has a ton of hermit crabs. The Plimouth Plantation and Plymouth rock are a short ride away. We also enjoyed the Cape Code Canal. The Hy-line cruises offer sightseeing cruises. The house was sufficiently stock with dishes, pots and pans. The water was clean and beautiful. Thanks for a great vacation. The Edgar Family

Great Lake house
This was a great lake house for our family to stay in. It seems much bigger than the description says it is. We had 4 adults and 2 kids under 10. All the trees around it made it feel very private. Back deck was perfect for lake views. It’s close to downtown Plymouth, Plymouth Patuext and whale watching. Fishing off the dock was super fun. The water is crystal clear and pretty warm, the kids swam all the time. House was fully stocked with all you'd need. Take advantage of the great weber gas grill while you are there.

What a view!!!
We had such a wonderful time at the lake. The facilities were more comfortable than I had expected. All rooms had air conditioning and each room had its own remote to control the temperature. The dock offered great fishing and a nice perch in order to monitor my children as they swam. Also, a nice place for a glass of wine. Kitchen very well supplied in terms of pots and pans and cutlery. I would return. Beautiful.

Quiet, Serene Perfect Space with everything you need!
Being on Sandy Pond was amazing! Outside on back deck with sunshine on your face and at night, the stars, tree frogs, water…. It’s just perfect! The house has everything you need and it’s super cozy and very clean! Master bed is comfortable tempurpedic foam, lights, outdoor timed lights, all switches, appliances, nice to haves: bedside charger etc make it easy, intuitive and hassle free. It was cold but did 2 cold plunges in Sandy Pond (plunge = SUPER QUICK DIP 😂). The rental was precisely all I hoped for and would love to revisit in warmer months too. Jeff is friendly. clear, concise and super responsive! What more could you ask for?!! 5 stars ⭐️
