"The pool in the center of tge hotel was filthy. I dove in a 5pm to cool off and tge chief of security, a former member of tge national security force, chewed me out in front of tge itger guests. There were cockroaches as big as tibas in.my room. Tge dice centre never opened and the food is ok for a hospital in the develooing world but inadequate for a "resort hotel". P. Giron is beautiful but stay at a casa Its much cheaper and nicer. Go to the hotel to take tge morning shuttle to Caleta Buena...

"This is no longer the casa of Ivette and Ronel. They divorced but still work together. Ronel has a guest house two doors down which is what we thought we were booking based on lonely planet recommendation. The room was spacious and clean, but the overall hospitality and charges for extras were not very good compared to other places we stayed in Cuba. They helped us book a taxi to another town but told us there were no collective taxi options. But we met travelers from another local homestay...
