"We arrived late at night in the rain, and although the directions had told me there was a keyless entry, the key box by the front door threw me off, and we struggled with that for a minute before I remembered the email. lol Removing that might be a good idea. The cabin was clean, but we did have to contact the owner for more towels, because there were only 2 for 3 adults, and there were only sheets for the pullout couch/bed, no blanket. The response was immediate, though. The most precious soul brought us all needed items while wearing her bathrobe. Thank you for that! The listing, I believe, indicates this cabin can sleep 4; however, the couch/bed is not really capable of that. We only had 3, so it worked, but that couch is tiny. A futon may be a nice upgrade. This cabin was in the perfect location to visit Pipestem, Bluestone, Brush Creek, Camp Creek, and Sandstone. We enjoyed dinner at Lucky Rivers in Hinton. We enjoyed our visit to the area! "

"The hotel was right off 77 with large rooms and traditional decor. We were traveling home with the cat and found it met our needs. Variety of dining options and a good breakfast in the hotel."

"My wife, myself and our dog stayed for one night on our annual trip from Michigan to North Carolina. We absolutely love the New River Gorge area, so we always book a night somewhere in the area around Hinton. Many of the available rentals in the area are very near to the train tracks. It's fun watching the trains go by but the noise can be a bit much. We booked this cabin to avoid the loud train noise. It turned out to be a wise choice because we all got a great night's sleep. On the way into town we grabbed some food at the Kroger in Hinton and made full use of the cabin's kitchen to prepare our dinner. The kitchen was adequately supplied with cooking elements and the new stove and other appliances worked well. In the evening, and again the next morning, we took our dog to Bluestone State Park for a nice stroll along the river. There are 2 State Parks within 10 minutes of the cabin, Bluestone being the closest, which is only a couple miles north. The host, Leslie, was very helpful and responsive to all my questions. We will likely stay here again on our trip next year if the cabin is available."
