THE SPACE:
This is a completely remodeled historic cottage and is a quaint relaxing space, with a massive front porch. The main house is approx. 500 square feet, with approx. a 200 square foot casita. There is one bedroom in the main house (with a queen bed), one sleeper sofa couch in the family room, and one queen bed in a separate casita. The casita is a great mini sanctuary space, but it does not have a bathroom. You will need to take a short walk into the main house to access the bathroom. Kitchen has all the basics you’ll need for cooking along with an outside grill, with a small local grocery store available in town.
Wi-Fi:
There is Wi-Fi at the house and works fine most of the time. However, you’re in a more remote area so we can’t guarantee Wi-Fi 24-7 as it may be spotty at times.
TV:
The property has a Roku player. You may connect your streaming accounts through the Roku device.
PARKING:
The house provides ample parking with access to an OHV trail right out the back door. It’s the perfect location right in the heart of Pioche and FUN!
MISC:
Please note, this is not a party house. Pioche is a quiet town (but super fun), so if you’re staying with us we ask that you respect that we do have neighbors. Quiet hours are from 10pm to 7am. Campfires are not allowed on the property, and no smoking inside.
This property is NOT wheelchair accessible. There is a flight of stairs you will need to climb to get to the house.
Age limit is 25 years old for rental approval.
THE TOWN OF PIOCHE:
The town of Pioche (pronounced – pee-oach) is rich with mining history and offers old-west charm, along with tons of fishing, hunting, mountain biking, hiking, miles of OHV trails, saloons within walking distance, and some of Nevada’s most scenic state parks.
Pioche is an old town by western standards, with many of the buildings predating the turn of the 19th century. Part of Pioche’s charm is that we’re far enough from the beaten track to escape the blatant commercialism that has plagued many tourist towns, but yet we have enough facilities to handle the modest summer crowds. So explore around, and return to your own little piece of paradise afterward to enjoy dinner on the front porch (and your morning coffee), because the views never get old!
