Guest access
Bathrooms:
- You will have access to the 1.5 bathrooms here. The shower is in the upstairs bathroom and the downstairs bathroom is a Jack-and-Jill style with the second door leading to the game room!
Game Room:
- The game room has a ping pong table with all the equipment needed. Feel free to also use the pool table underneath although due to usage and time, isn’t the best condition. We will be replacing soon enough. We also have a dart board and several board games on the tables.
Kitchen:
- The kitchen has plenty of cooking supplies if you plan to use the stove top to cook. Just check the drawers and chances are the item exists where you think it should be.
** Hot Tub **:
-** THERE IS AN EXTRA CHARGE FOR HOT TUB USE DURING YOUR STAY due to routine deep cleaning after guest visits. (Minimum fee of $75 for a 1-day stay, but could be higher depending on time of year, amount of guests, and length of stay.) Must coordinate with hosts before arrival. Hot tub jets/pumps/temperature are monitored through smart system.)**
- We routinely clean out the hot tub water, and filters. However we kindly ask that if guests use the hot tub to pour a cap-full of shock and chlorine into the filter with the pump on after use. These bottles are sitting near the hot tub. We also kindly ask that guests put the hot tub cover back on top in the condition in which it was found, securely held down with the weighted bags to protect from the wind. This is all to prevent any damage and to prolong its usage during and after your stay.
- We will provide additional towels for hot tub use. These are located in the downstairs bathroom. Guests are encouraged to bring any additional towels if desired.
Other things to note
- This is NOT a party cabin. Please be mindful.
- We kindly ask that NO pets of any kind are brought to this property. Owners and users of this property and land have high allergies to dog fur. (Health concern). We kindly ask that you respect this.
- This is a lightly weather beaten rustic cabin in the desert mountains. We have refurbished quite a bit around the place. In addition to having cleaners, we also personally clean a lot around the cabin. It's a constant upkeep! There may be a bit of dust or dirt around but that's just the nature of the desert mountains in a cabin!
- Note that there are two motion detection security cameras on the garage facing the driveway and on the front of the cabin facing the road coming in. These overlook and monitor the driveway and parking area only.
- Please be mindful of your speed limit when driving along the dirt roads and overall neighborhood! The roads can be both bumpy and windy in addition to being steep and narrow in the last leg of your journey to the top of the ridge and cabin! Bigger cars handle the road nicer than smaller cars for sure, but even smaller cars can usually navigate the dirt roads here easily, especially in the dry season (spring, summer, and fall). Just use a bit of caution.
WINTER MOUNTAIN ROADS DISCLAIMER:
For winter, it is recommended you drive jeeps, trucks, and other 4-wheel drive vehicles in the mountain roads, including our dirt mountain road. In the absolutely worst road conditions during winter time, the local roads may require snow tires. In fact, some of the local roads won't let you on unless you have 4x4 vehicle AND snow chains, but this is rare and usually following a snow storm. Several steeper roads in the mountains including Mountain High ski resort require snow chains throughout winter. Please check the weather and check with us before arriving for conditions if need be. If need be, there is a Hardware store right in town that sells snow tires.
- Please consider bringing out any recyclables, trash, & food waste you bring in. We do NOT have local garbage services here. If you are unable to transport out what you brought in, please please please use our recycling and garbage cans that are clearly labeled.
