THE WORST THING THAT COULD HAPPEN ON A TRIP IS FOR NOTHING TO HAPPEN AT ALL

Welcome to Ramajal Rural:

A few years ago now my partner and I visited the region of Las Hurdes for the first time. We were impressed by the beauty, greenness, friendliness and simplicity of its people, fauna, flora, natural pools....

Since then, over 11 years ago, our objective was to create some country houses, to discover this wonder from. Time has passed but this area's ability to amaze travellers has not. You simply need to take a look at the photo album on our website to realise this.

There are many walks to take and places to see, which may lead us into a frenzied attempt to discover everything in a short space of time, but we mustn't fall into this trap, as all we will achieve is a collection of places, locations, hundreds of digital photos, guides and leaflets... but we'll lose the true essence of this region, we won't experience the feelings of authentic rural life, the feeling of being surrounded by one of the few natural orchards still in existence in Spain, the feeling of tranquillity, that feeling of having gone back in time, those pleasant feelings you get when you smell rockrose and heather. To achieve all these feelings you have to admire, experience, feel, blend into the surroundings, interact with the people and above all do it at your own pace.

Ramajal rural consists of five houses, situated in the Esperabán valley at the foot of the river Horcajo, a river which gives its name to the town in which it is situated, which belongs to the municipality of Pinofranqueado, the nerve centre of the region of Las Hurdes.

We hope that this combination will be entirely to your liking and that you can enjoy and appreciate Las Hurdes in its purest state.

Un lugar muy agradable
La casa estaba muy limpia, con una terraza con buenas vistas. Por la zona hay varios lugares donde bañarse y Marga te explica bien dónde puedes ir a la llegada. Perfecto para desconectar.

Todo maravilloso. Marga ENCANTADORA e igual que Genaro a la hora de hacer la reserva. La casa amplia y muy limpia Tanto mi familia como yo, hemos quedado maravillado y disfrutado un montón tanto del lugar como de su entorno y mi perro ha disfrutado como el que más jaja. Todo ello guiado por Marga.

Estancia espectacular
Gracias Marga y Genaro una pena de verdad no poder quedarnos más días mi familia quedo más que enamorada y maravillados del entorno hasta mi perro quedó encantado jaja y cansado pero feliz..todo todo fue estupendo y era un entorno que no conocía y seguro repetiremos .Sois unos propietarios maravillosos, encantadores cuidais de cada detalle.Enhorabuena por esas casas preciosas y con encanto!

Increíbles dias
Hemos pasado mi novia y yo 4 días y 3 noches en esta increíble casa rural, muy bn equipada, una casa muy grande y muy bn preparada. Queremos dar las gracias a Marga por su trato cercano y por sus detalles, la mermelada y los huevos buenísimos, y por sus explicaciones q nos hicieron la estancia mucho mejor y más llevadera. Por supuesto, en cuanto podamos volveremos q queremos esa ruta en 4x4 d la q tanto nos han hablado. Un saludo

A lovely week in this quiet corner of Extramadura
We spent a lovely week here in September. The apartment was clean and comfortable, with a terrace overlooking olive groves and hillsides. Marga was a delight, providing us with tomatoes, peppers and water melon from her garden. She gave us lots of useful info about places to go and see. We enjoyed walking in the valleys, and always found somewhere to swim. Most villages, including Horcajo, have a 'piscina naturale' and we also came across river pools up in the valleys. A great place to 'get away from it all'!

Sitio para recordar.
Fantastica lugar para descansar, situado en un enclave precioso y tranquilo, la gente es amable y cordial con los turistas que andamos por alli perturbando su paz, y que decir de los propietarios, encantadores y amables, muy atentos de todo lo que puedieramos necestiar. Vacaciones de ensueño
Apartamentos rurales RAMAJAL. Situados en el entrañable pueblo de Horcajo, en plena comarca de Las Hurdes. Emplazamiento de ensueño para unas vacaciones especiales, donde comienzas sin saber muy bien a dónde vas, y terminas añorando los lugares por los que has pasado. Trato especial de los propietarios en todos los sentidos. Sin duda, un destino recomendable, tanto por la zona como por la gente. Mi familia y yo esperamos volver para poder terminar la visita que empezamos. Gracias por todo.

perfecta escapada
Casa rural perfecta. Muy limpia y equipada. La atencion por parte de Marga y Genaro espectacular, no les falta ninguna atencion, siempre pendientes de nosotros.Recomiendo la excursion 4X4, hemos visto unos paisajes espectaculares y que ricos los bocatas que prepara Marga. El queso y la mermelada riquisimos. La tendre entre mis casas rurales preferidas. Rutas para ir con niños muy llevaderas.

Sin duda, un lugar excelente
Nos hemos llevado un muy buen recuerdo de Ramajal Rural, y por eso creemos que hay que decirlo tal como es. Marga, una mujer muy atenta, nos explicó a la llegada los sitios que podíamos visitar en un solo fin de semana y sin duda se nos quedó corto! CORTO PERO INTENSO
Nos da un poco de miedo comentar esto, egoistamente hablando, ya que no nos gustaría que esto se convirtiera en una masificación de gente. Una vez mas Caceres nos sorprende, después de a ver conocido la Vera, Villuercas, el Jerte y Monfrague, dimos con Las Hurdes, lo mas de lo mas. Maravilloso el sitio, la casa Ramajal Rural magnifica y su situación. Marga y Genaro estupendos. Ya nos gustaría ver a los Alonso, Vetel y compañía conducir como Genaro, !!!! que excursión !!!!. Enhorabuena por todo y seguro que volveremos. Ahhhh y si después de todo esto os ponéis en manos de Víctor ya es el acabose.

Naturaleza, ni más ni menos
He estado en Ramajal Rural una semana y sólo puedo decir que ha sido perfecta. El paisaje y la casa, un diez. Marga, la propietaria, siempre atenta sin atosigar. Nos regaló productos de la zona y qué os voy a contar si aún se me hace la boca agua... Además de sus valiosos consejos e indicaciones para no perdernos nada de todo lo que aquella maravillosa comarca ofrece. Nuestra perra ha disfrutado muchísimo. En fin, un alojamiento y una zona altamente recomendable si te gusta la naturaleza apacible y la charla con los paisanos.

EL PARAISO SE ENCUENTRA AQUÍ
Desde que conocí la comarca de La Vera, he tenido siempre la intención de visitar en algún momento Las Hurdes. Lo que no pensaba era que me iba a encontrar tan a gusto. Desde la temperatura ambiente, hasta el más mínimo detalle de comodidad, no ha faltado nada. La casita, un encanto. Horcajo y su comarca, precioso. Paz, armonía, equilibrio del hombre con la naturaleza...no he visto nada igual a esto. Poder oír el sonido de la naturaleza en este estado tan puro, sin un solo ruido ajeno a ella a primera hora de la mañana, cuando los primeros rayos de sol van apareciendo, sentado en la terracita la de casa es algo que se me quedara grabado durante mucho tiempo. Mucha suerte para Marga y Genaro. Y enhorabuena.

MARAVILLOSO
Reiterame en todas las opiniones que aparecen, ¡¡6 estrellas pondría si se pudiera!! Las casas son preciosas, y las vistas también. Hay mucho que ver, nos ha faltado tiempo !!! Marga y Genaro son fabulosos, muy atentos y detallistas. Hicimos la ruta 4x4 y volvimos encantados, buitres, saltos de agua...... muy recomendable, no solo por lo que se puede ver, también por todo lo que nos contó Genaro sobre el monte y las gentes de Las Hurdes. Volveremos (y no es un decir) porque nos quedó mucho por ver. GRACIAS POR TODO Marga y Genaro !!!! :-) da gusto con gente como vosotros.... Mónica y Fran (MAYO 2014) Pd.: El pan de Horcajo está buenísimo !!!!! nos trajimos para Madrid una barra enoooooorme.

Excelente
Hemos pasado 4 noches en este alojamiento rural y estamos seguros que repetiremos. Marga, la propietaria, nos recibió muy bien, nos dio mapas y rutas para hacer, nos dio una mermelada casera que estaba EXQUISITA, mucha información de la zona, y sobre todo mucha amabilidad. Hemos visitado sitios preciosos, cascadas, piscinas naturales en medio de la montaña etc etc etc, para repetir seguro! La casa estaba genial, con todo lo necesario, aire acondicionado, wifi, micro, batidora etc etc etc, además muy bonita y muy acogedora. Nosotros viajamos con nuestra hija de 5 años, 2 perros y 2 gatos ... los perros han disfrutado como nunca, y la niña igual !!! Totalmente recomendable, para ir en pareja, con familia o incluso solo, el entorno es una maravilla. Fuimos con un 4X4 y Marga nos recomendó unas rutas por pistas forestales, y lo pasamos genial subiendo por la montaña, y bañándonos en las piscinas que hay a lo largo de las pistas (para que los helicópteros cojan agua en caso de incendio), con unas vistas alucinantes. A Genaro lo conocimos sólo el último día a última hora, pero igualmente nos pareció un tío genial. PD: Los melocotones y calabacines del huerto estaban muy buenos :) Repetiremos seguro. Hemos pasado unos días increíbles en compañía de nuestros peques (NINA Y KARMAN) en un entorno ideal para el descanso y disfrutar de la naturaleza. Marga la propietaria es encantadora. El apartamento esta muy bien equipado y calentito que en esta época se agradece. Nosotros volveremos.

ESTO SI QUE ES VIDA!!!!
Hemos estado el fin de semana del 7 al 9 de julio y la verdad es que se nos ha hecho corto, muy corto..hay tanto que ver, que sentir, que disfrutar, que te gustaría que el tiempo no pasase nunca, pero como todo en la vida, lo bueno se acaba pero no sin dejar en nuestras retinas, esos paisajes maravillosos, esas aguas tan cristalinas, ese silencio por las noches...bueno, en general todo. Y que decir de sus dueña (Marga), siempre pendiente de ti para que no te falte de nada y te sientas como en casa...un encanto de mujer.. Mis hijas se han venido llorando y sólo me repetían que se querían quedar a vivir allí, que ellas querían una casita así para vivir...sólo por eso tener por seguro que nos volveremos a ver... Me siento muy orgullosa de ser extremeña y de poder recomendar a la gente que quiero vuestro alojamiento y todo su entorno.. Un beso muy fuerte y mucha suerte con vuestro proyecto...

MEJOR IMPOSIBLE
Han sido 6 días maravillosos. Las Hurdes son fantásticas. Los paisajes, sus gentes, todo. No encuentro nada negatvo en nuestra estancia, si acaso, que no podíamos quedarnos más tiempo. Recomiendo a todo el mundo el alojamiento en el Ramajal, en el pueblo de Horcajo, si quieren ver los paisajes más increibles que hayn podido imaginar. De los dueños de la casa rural, no se que decir. No se puede tener mejores personas. Nos enseñaron todas las rutas posibles que realizar, los mejores caminos, que ver en cada sitio,...Los recordaremos mucho tiempo y con el tiempo, prometemos volver a su casa, porque ha sido maravilloso. Las cuatro personas que estuvimos y nuestros dos perros, Otto y Erick, les dan las gracias por su amabilidad. Gracias, de todo corazón. Ya os echamos de menos

5 días en Ramajal Rural
Desde que llegas hasta que te vas lo disfrutas. Lo peor la hora de irse. Lo mejor: todo, tanto el trato de los dueños, como el entorno. Sobre todo hablé con Marga y es una chica majísima. Si vas con ganas de descansar es el mejor sitio. Si quieres hacer senderismo hay rutas de varios kms. Si quieres bañarte tienes piscinas naturales, tanto en Horcajo como en las aldeas de alrededor. Es lo mejor para ir solo o en compañía. No dejéis de comprar cerezas a la gente del pueblo.

Existe el paraiso
Si estas buscando el paraíso lo has encontrado. Además de todo lo que han dicho otros clientes, este es el mejor sitio del mundo. No solo el entorno, los dueños, la luz especial... Sino que viene un Tio súper majo llamado Víctor y te hace un masaje que te deja preparadisimo para superar el regreso a tu rutina. He encontrado el paraíso!!! Y además mi perro ha sido muy feliz! Celia, Carlos y Cash!!

Excelente entorno
Si en algo destaca la casa es el trato humano de Marga y Genaro, acabamos de pasar una semana en uno de sus apartamentos, el tiempo no nos ha acompañado, pero así y todo hemos podido disfrutar del entorno. Debo decir que soy una persona con una discapacidad importante, pero Marga y Genaro, nos facilitaron la lavor, a la hora de poder realizar alguna ruta. La mermelada de tomate, verdaderamente impresionante, así como los pates de diferentes sabores. Realmente la casa y el entorno y sus gentes merecen la pena. Animaros a seguir con vuestro trabajo, seguro que el éxito estará garantizado, y en la medida que pueda y si mi situación no empeora, repetiremos seguro.

Mejor imposible
He estado alojado en muchas casas rurales, pero esta es sin duda una de las mejores, por todo y en todos los sentido. No tengo palabras, bueno si una ¡¡ Impresionante !!
