"We spent a wonderful 6 days at Casa Grande Carlota. Antonio was very helpful with any enquiries we had before our trip and we were greeted warmly on our arrival. The house is exactly as described - or even better. We were amazed at how well equipped it was. The pool is great and there are so many different areas to sit and relax both inside and outside. The covered barbecue area/outdoor kitchen is brilliant and we ate out there every night. There is a very good supermarket in Terras de Bouro....

"A little tropical paradise. Perfect setting next to the water and total seclusion at bottom of valley. There was no-one staying in the second property by the water but don't think it would have changed our opinion. Accommodation was more than adequate and the outdoor kitchen area had everything you'd need. The hosts were incredibly welcoming and the son was our readily available interpreter. We were welcomed with the wine they make on the land and a simple breakfast was supplied each morning at...

"A luxurious, spacious, well equipped apartment in characterful building. Beautiful swimming pool and outdoor kitchen and eating area. Views from the property are incredible. The hosts were charming and very friendly and we had our complete privacy. Our family loved this property and really hope to return."

"Great property exactly as described, and the setting and views were just the best! The local town 20 mins drive on the river is Amarante and it stole our hearts. The drive straight down the mountain to a slightly closer town Celorico de Basto is not for the faint hearted, and was not repeated. The TV was in French which was a bonus as we don't speak Portugese. The host was very accommodating of our very late arrival at 11pm due to flight issues and responded to all messages immediately.A great...

This unique property includes an old large wine making room with equipment, the entry to the breakfast and dinner rooms. Charming and outstanding."
