"Our room was perfect, we had booked Luxury Garden Suite, which exceeded our expectations, we particularly like the privacy it afforded and actually were pleased to have not booked a Beach Villa. The main swimming pool does need a face lift, there are numerous tiles missing and also the entry to the pool is rather unsafe it would be much better to just have a step rather than the slanted tiles"

Pina’s genuine care and energy elevated our entire experience, and it’s safe to say she’s the heart of the hospitality at Lux*. Another standout was Fadna at the Lux* Café. Her Zanzibar Iced Coffee is a must-try—absolutely divine and the perfect reflection of the local flavors. Fadna’s passion for her craft shines through in every sip and interaction, making each visit to the café a delightful experience. Lux* Hotel Zanzibar provided not just a place to stay but a collection of unforgettable memories. The incredible staff, especially Pina and Fadna, turned our vacation into something truly magical. This was, without a doubt, the most memorable hotel visit of my life, and I can’t recommend Lux* Zanzibar enough. "Most beautiful sunsets "

"The resort is very beautiful and staff are really friendly . Favourite chill area was the Gabi beach where we had a good view of the blue waters of the indian ocean ,good music and food. "

"It’s a lovely spot in a quieter/less built up area of the island. There are options for restaurants nearby (including The Rock restaurant, only a couple minutes walk down the beach) although not as many as some of the more developed areas. The hotel itself is lovely and clean. A nice breakfast is served right on your balcony which has amazing views of the water. No issues with the wi-fi. The staff were very welcoming. There is no A/C; we were a bit warm with the fan windows open but not unbearably so. I wish we had had an extra night or two to stay; would definitely come again!"
