"We checked in after 6 hours driving with 2 adults and 3 young children, we were very tired ready to catch a ferry the next morning to Disneyland Paris. Upon checking in we were told we had been upgraded to a platinum suite. The room was amazing and made our stay so much better. 3 large beds, a beautiful bathroom with large round bath. Family room was large and well equipped but chilly (December) - perhaps some rooms/corridors need modernising to the standard of the very smart reception area etc. But would definitely recommend and stay again."

"Bedrooms were a good size. Excellent breakfast. Did not try other meals. Decor is very odd. Deffo lack of taste - all a bit 1980's .Library bar was a good room. Swimming pool and spa facilities were really good. Take your own pillows if you like soft ones. Mattresses were excellent. Convenient for the Hippodrome and you can walk into town. bath tubs were bouncy platic and showers were not brilliant. "

"Booked Marquis as we had heard good things & wanted a short post-Christmas break, we were not disappointed. The property, staff & food were excellent. We did not venture outside the hotel but know Deal well & went there first to walk the dog on the beach, the Marquis is c.20 minutes by car. Fabulous relaxed stay & we will come back in the summer to try out their terrace. "
