"We chose the lodge on the recommendation of our tour guide company as a retreat to chill out after a busy 8 days visiting the Galapagos and Amazonia. It was indeed a relaxing location where my wife took advantage of the resort spa and I was able to enjoy the scenic walks and spot a few bird varieties. The food and hospitality was good. A few of the treks were restricted and that was the only negative point."

"Absolutely amazing stay. Unlike any hotel I have visited before with a fascinating back story. We loved wandering the grounds and exploring the hotel. The staff are so welcoming and accommodating, and they offered many activities. We did the cave tour (a must!), the beer and chocolate tasting, the long trail walk, a horseback ride, and a night hike. The food was phenomenal, and they catered to our vegetarian diet. The hot tub was the perfect temperature. More people need to be visiting this...

"The hotel was closed at the time of arrival with the family group, so we had to incur another cost of taxi transfer, after communicating with Expedia, the hotel owner communicated with us claiming an emergency, but At the same time refusing to give us lodging for the price offered by Expedia, unfortunately neither Expedia nor the hotel owner could resolve the situation, having to sleep in the airport chairs with a 13 year old"
