The lake mountain view is beautiful and so peaceful. Great swimming and fishing. Loon sounds, hummingbirds were surrounding us. Can’t wait to come back!
Unfortunately this residence does not meet the description of what is presented in the listing and the owner was less than helpful in answering questions and resolving issues. There is a tv(streaming) that did not work and there was no outdoor fire pit which would have been nice to use on an Oct. evening. When I called the owner to express my concerns he stated that people don’t come here to watch tv Neither did I. That’s not the point. He sent a text the next day indicating the receptacle for the pit was in the shed and provided the combination. Unfortunately it was made out of wrought iron and weighed approximately 70 pounds. Having back problems I left it along with the barbecue. The bedrooms are quite small with no place to put clothes as the bureau was occupied so we lived out of our suitcases which were in the corner on the floor. The cabin has some instructions which were amusing. In one of the bathrooms there was a posting which said IF IT’S YELLOW LET IT MELLOW IF IT’S BROWN FLUSH IT DOWN. How quaint, a Martha Stewart rustic moment. The living room has a taped message falling off the window indicating the cords should be used to draw the curtains? The day before we left I received a text indicating the garbage as well as recyclables need to be transported to a nearby town. He has a sense of humor. This is not in the listing and if it did I wound note have rented. I don’t transport garbage on my vacation or at home. A lot of money for a rustic motel six atmosphere.
The spacious house suited our group (3 adults and 4 kids) for our family vacation. Great spot for jumping into the lake to cool off on those hot sunny days. Only thing we wished would have been for A/C units in the two upstairs bedrooms. The temps during the days were hitting near 90 and while the downstairs rooms did cool off a bit at night, the heat made it difficult sleeping upstairs even with multiple fans. Also a microwave would have been a nice addition to the well stocked kitchen. The outside table was great for our meals and watching loons and ducks swim by. The dock was great for fishing and the kids caught and released lots of small fish. And we all enjoyed the kayaks. Overall a great time, thank you!
The house was clean, spacious and comfortable and we loved the setting and seclusion. We enjoyed the kayaking and some kiddy fishing. We visited the fish hatchery and the ice cream shop in town.. Be prepared for the weather to change! Thanks for sharing your lovely home with us!
This is a rustic, comfortable cabin directly on the lake.
We spent many hours on the screened porch and in the lovely lake water. It is a perfect place to kayak and swim. Our host Steve was very responsive when we had a question.
Nice, roomy and well-kept log house on lovely quiet lake. Great swimming and boating for kids, peaceful setting for this writer to get some work done as well.
We had a great time staying here. The house was chaming, had everything we needed, and was beautifully situated on lovely Lake Armington. It was remote enough to feel like you are really getting away, yet close enough to civilization that a short drive will get you to restaurants, grocery stores, etc. And you have the beautiful White Mountains and all their attractions not too far away. It was our first time staying here and we were beyond pleased. Our only regret was not being able to stay longer!! Thank you Seifert Family for sharing this wonderful cabin.
We returned to this property again this year and enjoyed our visit even more than last year. The lake and views are the perfect retreat from everyday life. The house is comfortable base camp to enjoy all the wonderful activities in NH and VT. We’ll definitely be back again. Thank you for sharing this wonderful vacation house.
We had a great weather week at the cabin, and the kids enjoyed swimming every day and making smores in the evening at the campfire. There's a nice unguarded state park beach(Lake Tarleton) about 2 miles from the camp that we swam at and went fishing by the dam there. The deer flies and mosquitos were relentless day & night, so make sure you have plenty of bug spray! The cabin and property were very nice and our section of the lake was free of noisy speed boats which made it very peaceful. Lots of Loons around.

Cozy cabin on a Lake
We really enjoyed our stay for the 5 days.Peaceful, quiet, very beautiful spot to relax and breath fresh air and Lake breezes.Lighting a fire added to the coziness of a warm and and tranquil afternoon.Everything at the cabin was at our fingertips.( having all the amenities) The interior of the cabin was extremely comfortable and very inviting. We plan to revisit again next summer.Looking forward to hearing once again, the call of the Loons. A little slice of heaven
Our family just returned from our stay at the cabin. It was so amazing! We fished, kayaked, and swam everyday. We ate breakfast, lunch, and our dinners at the outdoor patio table. Had a small fire in the pit every night. It was very private and so cozy. Our kids (10/8/4) stayed very entertained seeing how many fresh water clams they could find each day. We didn't need to go anywhere to have fun. Although we did take a short (20 minute) drive to Polar Caves. We look forward to going back!
Tips: Learn how to use Apple TV (pretty easy one I realized the top of the remote was a click), the coffee maker is a percolator style, and be sure to bring life vests for kayaking.

Nicely updated family cottage on gorgeous lake in the White Mountains
This was our second stay on Lake Armington, and we really liked this property. It's in very good condition with recently updated and some new appliances (including a washer and dryer). It also has 2 bathrooms! There's a lovely enclosed screen porch lakeside so you can enjoy the beautiful view regardless of the weather.
But it's all about the lake which is crystal clear, just the right temperature for a refreshing swim. The lake is known for loons. You can hear them call, and maybe even see a fledgling being taught to dive up close from a kayak -- we did.

Beautiful property, can’t wait to return.
We had a fabulous week at Restmore Cottage on Lake Armington. The location is incredible, only 2+ hours from Boston but so very far from the hustle and bustle of the city. The lake is pristine and quiet, with a loon family calling and frogs at night. The crystal-clear water was refreshing and full of fish. It was a heat-wave week so we did occasionally crave AC, and guests should be aware that all the beds are twin, but these did not impact our enjoyment of this lovely, clean and well-appointed log cabin. Bring a good book and a bathing suit for a perfect vacation.

A beautiful setting on Lake Armington Piermont, New Hampshire
This lake front cabin feels rustic, clean and homey. It is nicely furnished. It has immediate access to the lake and good climbing on Piermont Mountain that the cabin faces. For the more adventurous the White Mountains are nearby. The two bathrooms, four bedrooms, laundry room a sceened in porch or family room, full kitchen, living room with wood burning fire place. There is a fire pit outside and kayaks and a canoe available. The lake water is clean. You can see the bottom of the lake in many places. The fragrance of the forest is nearby. You may get lucky and hear as well as see the loons, a moose, bear, beaver or some other creature of interest in this habitat. Although you can bathe or shower in the water at the cabin, you cannot drink the tap water unless it is boiled. To make it easier bring your own supply of drinking water. This is true of many of the camps on the lake. It is a minor inconvience. This is a great place to stay. Very comfortable. Think of it as a camping experience with all the comforts of home in a very beautiful setting.
