The pièce de résistance is the glorious garden, with the lawn stretching out alongside the running water. Idyllic for summer barbecues or meals out in the sunshine. When the chilly evening rolls in the wood burner in the living room is so inviting - relax on the sofa in the soft glow from the burning embers. Forge Gardens is a charming bungalow full of character, the perfect quintessential English holiday destination. Beautifully furnished to a high standard throughout, offering a warm welcome to each guest looking to explore this beautiful area.

The property is located just behind the popular chocolate factory, with a selection of delightful independent cafés, shops and pubs nearby. This beautiful village attracts many guests who come to browse and take in the scenic surroundings. The stone built cottages and winding country paths take visitors back in time, steeped in history and surrounded by walking and cycle routes

You are surrounded by the stunning North York Moors National Park and the Wolds. York is only an hour away and should not be missed. This fantastic medieval city, with the minster standing proud in the centre, has something for all age groups. Nearby Dalby Forest is a tranquil haven to explore the miles of woodland trails on foot or by bike. There is also a zip wire trail for the more adventurous. The Yorkshire Coast is just a short drive away and the cottage is a great base for visiting the resorts of Scarborough, Filey and Whitby as well as the smaller villages of Robin Hood’s Bay, Staithes or the waterfall at the Hayburn Wyke cove. Just 3 miles away, Pickering is a traditional market town with a local market held every Monday which is very popular with both the locals and tourists alike. There are plenty of restaurants, pubs and cafés plus some interesting independent shops. Pickering is home to the North York Moors steam railway. Here you can catch a steam train for an amazing journey across the North York Moors National Park to the town of Whitby. Flamingo Land, a popular theme park, is close to Pickering with its exciting rides and fantastic zoo, sure to make a great day out with the children. Scarborough is on the east coast and is a very popular seaside town great for families with its large sweeping bays. There’s something for all age groups in Scarborough from the Sealife Centre, the theatres, the Alpamare waterpark and the historic Scarborough Castle.
