"This was our second visit to Victoria Hotel in Cho Doc, Vietnam. Just as our first visit, the hotel staff were welcoming and quite professional. Our “suite” of the river made the visit even more memorable and enjoyable. We could sit outside and watch the fishing boats troll along the river hoping for the best catch of the day. There’s lots to visit while here as well. (2-3) Eco friendly places only 20-30 minutes away. Be sure to have some mud-fish or catfish as well. The sushi restaurant...

"Nice view of the valley below. Services are imprectable. Each room is separate from the other thus very quite. Restaurant has selection of Vietnamese and European dishes. Very tasty. Good breakfast selections. You need to try the iced Vietnamese coffee"

"There is a great write up in the recent Lonely Planet Guide about Murray Guesthouse being a wonderful addition to the Chau Doc accommodation options... a great guest lounge, roof terrace, bar, pool table and great breakfast. Sadly no longer... none of these exists! Instead we had a poor welcome, accusing us of having cancelled, the bedside lights didn't work, our friend had no toilet paper or a toilet that flushed. It is very cheap to stay there and it is clean, but that is it."
