Ten days ago, we emailed the management with the following message, and have yet to receive a reply:
Hello,
We enjoyed our stay in the area, just not this property. We booked with this property thinking nobody would possibly let that bad review from three years ago go unattended.
It does not look like anything was addressed.
Upon arriving, we noticed hairs on the bathroom floors (long ones and dark curly ones too) and paint chips and dust on window sills. There was also substantial dark dust on the main room ceiling fan and cobwebs up high on walls. Under the ground floor bed, there was a dusty table leaf with a champagne cork, a dirty spoon, and an open package of "Pole Polish Kissable Massage Cream."
The control knobs are missing from the electric range, the garage door remote is nowhere to be seen, and the water heater is good for about two quick showers. One of the swivel chairs that goes to the bar is in pieces in the garage. The coffee table has a leg about to fall off. The grill was a bit dirty, and there were cigarette butts and beer bottle caps around the patio.
Most concerning is the door to the garage not latching, and the door to the patio being very unsecure, making a potential break-in very easy. The door frame needs replaced with a new deadbolt latch secured to the framing.
We are not germophobic at all, but the cleaning service leaves much to be desired, especially now, when people are hyper-sensitive to cleanliness because of the pandemic.
Overall, this is the dirtiest and most disrepaired short term rental we have stayed in. It is rivaled only be a couple of motor lodges we had to reluctantly stay in a time or two.
That was the message we sent them. As far as an update on the first review, the carpet is still worn and stained, the chair that was falling apart has now fallen apart. At least we did not have to assemble the grill, and, if you have good grip between your forefinger and opposable thumb, you can work the controls on the electric range. Also, without a garage door opener, you can "get in your steps" a lot easier.
