False Description, Filth and Fraud!
As a family, we all rent VRBOs and we don’t typically leave bad reviews as I am accustomed to the description of a VRBO matching reality, but this was a special experience and our disappointment has followed us all home. The house was not clean. Scum on everything from doors to was was clearly from months of neglect. The black dust coating bedroom ceiling fans burned our eyes when turned on. Baseboards and nightstands were covered in dust, hair and side tables had packets of Purell, maybe in an effort to help us disinfect from environment. Towels were musty, cheerio like scent, similar to the scent of laundry room. After removing sheets and pillow cases the condition of the mattresses was disgusting with stains. The pool was filthy. We had to call the owner and described the brownish green color of the pool and the sad, trickling waterfall that seemed to be on its last leg. There was also bird poop splattered and hardened all over the patio. The owner apologized and did send someone over to “clean” the pool. By this time, we had to got ot the wedding, however the next day, there was no improvement. Pool table, a plus on the booking, as we all play and own a billiards table. Felt was old and worn, bumpers were hard, no tips on cue sticks or chalk provided. Master bath tub has no water connection. To add insult to this already dismal experience, I received an email from Generali stating owner made a claim of $2980. We are stunned as this is a shock to us and our guests.
