Private Modern Retreat with Private Pool

Contemporary, custom, open floor plan with walls of windows to take in the stunning mountain and desert views from almost every room! Designed by local modern architect. Secluded, private, quiet lot, on one acre with patios and pool. Minutes to downtown, convention center, ASU, and the airport. Walk from your door to two of the most popular trails of South Mountain Park/Preserve, The Mormon Trail and the Geronimo Trail which connect to 51 miles of hiking, biking and horseback riding trails of the largest municipal park in the country,16,000 acres. Runners can quickly access the canal trails for a nice run. Many great golf courses nearby and centrally located close to spring training and the convention center!

Friends refer to this house as whimsical, colorful and the Alice in Wonderland house. It is full of fun, funky and colorful modern furniture and art including tea pot and hour glass collections and artwork by Ron Burns and Michael Lieu. There are four bedrooms, three have queen beds and the fourth has a full bed and a pull out sofa. Master bedroom is located at opposite wing of other bedrooms offering privacy for the master and the guests! Gourmet kitchen with large island, stainless appliances and an eat in kitchen, as well as a formal dining with fantastic Arizona sunset views and seats eight. The master has amazing mountain views and the master bath has a large soaking tub and walk in shower.

This open floor plan is great for entertaining and relaxing by the stack stone," fire and ice" fireplace. View the nature of the desert from every room including, quail, coyotes, rabbits and hummingbirds! Perfect for tranquil stargazing at night by the pool! This home is unique and architecturally pleasing and just fun to be in!

The garage is over sized and can fit three cars, tandem. There is plenty of parking and RV parking is allowed.
Pool can be heated for an additional $30/day. Please let us know upon booking.

Colorful and fun
We stayed here as a larger family group and everyone loved the property. The location was perfect with it backing up to the mountains/hiking trails but only being a few minutes from shopping and dining. The home had a great pool, the neighborhood was quiet, and the decor/artwork was so fun!

Mountainside retreat
Beautiful natural surroundings and an artistically designed house made for a perfect couples retreat. Loved the privacy and yet also close proximity to hiking trails. House was well equipped with all we needed and the host was very responsive to any questions we had.

Best Contemporary House in Phoenix
Can't say enough about the great holiday that we had at this house in Phoenix. The contemporary design of the house and the layout made for an exceptional 3 weeks. The location on South Mountain had good access to freeways to get around the town, hiking, and the area provided all we needed for shopping/substanance/activities.

Absolutely stunning home inside and out. Pictures and write up on VRBO website were accurate. Property was secure, clean and fit the needs of our family perfectly. Enjoyed pool, cooking in gourmet kitchen, meals on outdoor patio, viewing eclectic art and hiking South Mountain. Owner/Property Manager was responsive to any question or need. Great location and very comfortable.
Overall the house was great. Beautiful views and we really enjoyed the location and the house was very comfortable and the kitchen was amazing!!!! The master bath sink was unusable because it would splash against the sink and onto to the person using it. Stocking of basics items such as toilet paper and paper towels would be great.

Perfect Oasis
This was our second stay at this house. A perfect place for us and our teenage kids. They love the heated pool, we love the patio with grill in the afternoon where we can soak up those last few warm rays of sunshine in the afternoon, especially in March! Host is very responsive to any questions and super helpful. There was a huge rainstorm the week we were there, and Russ came over to help my husband fill in the dips in the gravel driveway so we could get out in the morning. Perfect spot in South Mountain. We love the quiet neighborhood and the close proximity to two South Mountain trails. Close to grocery stores, restaurants, shops, and the airport. We plan on coming back next year!

Great Home
Loved staying at this home. Great communication with Carlie and Russ.. Super easy check in and checkout. Home is very comfortable, and very well supplied. Great location, with wonderful trails, grocery stores and restaurants. All so easy. The only boo boo was the pool.. the software and the heater didn't want to handshake, but life goes on, not the owners fault, we used the trails located close to home to hike. The flow of the home is great, the kitchen, living room, and dining room all tie in together well. The master shower is uber great.....A shoutout to Los Dos Molinos, yummers...Thank you for letting us share your home ..The Smiths

Spring getaway
The location by the mt was great to enjoy the view. House had all the amenities needed. Location was ok as it was close to groceries and Sloan Park. The furniture was interesting but not very comfortable and there seems to be some maintenance needed as the fireplace and pool lights weren't working. There was an extra propane for the outdoor heater but that didn't seem to work either. I'd recommend labeling the light switches as there are a lot. We never did figure out which ones were for around the garage. The owner was very responsive and able to fill in the driveway quickly. Overall though we'd recommend.

Great home away from home
We rented this house for a month and used it for vacation and remote working. The home was very comfortable, we were able to work fine with the WiFi and space. Pool was nice and relaxing. Property manager was very responsive. Especially when appliances were not working in the kitchen. They were able to help mend the situation. Luckily it is always nice to BBQ. This home is great but I didn't give it a 5 star only because it needs some TLC on deferred maintenance like could use updated family room couch, new oven since it didn't work, new dishwasher since it was hard to get it to start since the start panel was worn out, and fridge ice dispenser didn't work which isn't that big of a deal. They were great, we had a great time, and they accepted our fur baby which is always good!
