Phoenix Sunshine Retreat

Master bedroom is upstairs and has private master bath with shower and tub. Great views out the private back patio off the upstair master bedroom. 2 additional upstair bedrooms with separate upstairs bathroom with tub/shower. Downstairs bedroom is a closed off converted Den, which just features a Murphy bed. Downstairs restroom with no shower/tub. Outdoor pool with option to heat. 2 car garage on quiet street. Not an ideal party house. Please keep noise to a minimum after hours for consideration to neighbors.

Phoenix Getaway
I really liked this home. It was just me staying there, so far bigger than I needed but I could see how it would be great for a family. Nice pool, sunset view from the back yard. I like the Ahwatukee area a great deal, so it was perfect for me!!

Spring Break in Phoenix
We reserved this property for two weeks. This time period covered the spring break schedules of our grandchildren. The house offered what we needed and the heated pool was greatly appreciated. The area is a quiet one and time spent with our family and friends was precious. The owners are very responsive to any needs and questions are answered promptly. Thanks for contributing to our great vacation.

Great Location
We stayed in this home for 2 weeks, first week with friends and the second with our kids & grandkids. The grandkids loved the pool, nearby parks, and friendly neighbors with young families. We enjoyed being able to bring our dog on vacation with us as well. The owners were very responsive to issues and assistance in getting the pool heated. The place could use a little TLC but, since our vacation was almost cancelled because our other rental was sold at the 11th hour, this was a good alternative. We travel to the area every year and we did enjoy the slower pace of the Foothills area.

Lovely stay in AZ
A very calming and relaxing atmosphere nestled in the foothills. We enjoyed it so much! Dave was very responsive with questions and incredibly friendly. The house had tons of space and was very clean. We loved the cozy backyard and the view was awesome, our only regret is that it would've been warmer so we could make use of the beautiful pool. Kitchen was well stocked. If you choose to dine in, there are plenty of places that deliver through UberEats, and anything else you could possibly need is just a short ride away. We appreciated being outside of the hustle and bustle of the city and just taking it easy. I highly recommend this property.

Nice property!
Overall experience was so comfortable. This house had everything that we needed for your days that we stayed. So clean & comfortable. The communication with the host was very great. Responded in matter of minutes without hesitation. I would definitely recommend this spot.

Family Fun in 2021
I took my kids and grandkids to Phoenix and we stayed at this property!! Not only were we very satisfied with this property but the property owner Dave went above and beyond to make sure our stay was perfect!!! Due to the cold weather there we were unable to take advantage of the beautiful pool area but we will definitely be going back and we will book our stay here!!!! The house was larger than it appeared on the photos, very clean and in a perfect location!!! Thanks so much Dave for all your help and advice and we will definitely be back!!!!

Not COVID clean, pool was not useable
My husband and I arrived around 9pm for a 9 night stay. The house is large, well-equipped, but outdated. I came prepared with my anti-bacterial cleaning supplies to wipe off surfaces, bathrooms, light switches, etc. In the upstairs bathroom I found 2 long hairs in the sinks. The garbage can in the kitchen was filthy. The screen door to the back was broken, the owner said he would come back and fix it, but did not. My husband offered to fix it if he was provided a screwdriver and that never happened. Some of the pots/pans were dirty. I am not a crazy cleaning person, but this was not acceptable. The pool was not useable when we arrived. It was cloudy and the owner said he would have someone look at it. The owner said it would be ready to use by Wednesday, but wasn't until Friday. Of the 6 of the 9 nights we were in the house, the pool was not useable because it got cloudy again on Monday. If you pay to heat the pool, it is heated to 78 degrees, cold and for 3 days we were charged. The owner did waive that because of the pool issues. This is not acceptable. I specifically rented this house so that I could use the pool. Stay at your own risk!

Great Staycation for our family!
We typically do a hotel staycation for Memorial Day, but opted to rent a house with a pool instead and LOVED our time! Our kids had a blast in the pool and we all enjoyed watching the sunset on the balcony every night. The owners were super helpful and responsive prior to our stay and when we had a question when we were there, they were on top of it. I would 100% recommend this rental if you need a little R&R. It was clean, in a great location, with everything you'd need to be comfortable.

This retreat is in need of repairs
The location of the home was perfect for us but did not meet our expectations of a rental due to problems with the home. We had the following issues during our stay: 1) The bed in master bedroom was in terrible condition - it's a metal frame bed that squeaked on every movement and the frame was damaged causing the mattress to cave in the middle. 3 nights in this bed was a back breaker. 2) Drain in master shower was plugged and caused you to stand in 2-3 inches of water for a 5 minute shower. Not a huge deal but should not happen in a rental. 3) The up stairs toilet did not flush. We had to manually reach inside toilet to flush. 4) WiFi was not working in home 5) We requested to have pool heater turned on in advance ( at agreed upon additional cost) so that we could swim in pool but that didn't happen. Heater was turned on a day later. In general the home was in need of several minor repairs that would make it a much nicer stay with a much better appearance. Items like broken beds, drains not flowing, broken toilets should never happen in my opinion. They were like that when we checked in and should have been noticed during cleaning from previous renter and thus repaired. I own several rental properties and would not rent a property that was in this condition. That's why writing a poor review is hard for me as I wouldn't want this written about one of my properties. I just don't want someone else to walk into these issues when they are expecting a really nice vacation rental.

Lovely neighborhood. Home is comfortable, remodeled bathrooms are really nice. Views from master bedroom balcony are unbeatable. Patio/pool area very pleasant. Perfect size and bedroom count for an extended family getaway. We love Ahwatukee!

Great place for a family retreat
We stayed here while our house was under remodeling and we were very happy with the house. The owner, Dave, was responsive to texts and lives close by. The house has a well equipped kitchen and a spacious living area with comfy couches. They have many board games for family entertainment, as well as plenty of DVDs to watch. The back yard has a nice pool for a quick dip to cool off and comfortable lounge chairs to relax in. The master bath has been newly remodeled and is very spacious. Also, the view from the patio off the master bedroom is great - a wonderful desert preserve view with spectacular sunsets. The only small strikes would be that the pool's surface could use some refurbishing, as it is rough in places, the ceiling fan in the upstairs bedroom squeaks, and the upstairs bathroom needs towel bars. Other than these small concerns, this house is a great place to stay. Highly recommended.

Comfortable for family stay
All of us enjoyed staying here -6 for three nights and two for two nights. We did breakfast and lunch easily saving a ton of trouble and expense. Before you go shopping check for soap, Kleenex, toilet paper, because guest is responsible for this. Prior guest had left milk and butter so check around. Very good location and nice neighborhood.

Property is spacious and well maintained! Plenty of room inside and out, clean, and updated.
Everything was very simple and straightforward as far as check in, address, lock and and anything else. Property was clean and well taken care of. All of the furniture is comfortable, I only wish there was more outdoor seating and outdoor lighting. The pool is large and the patio area is spacious. My entire family loved it and we didn’t feel crowded because the house is so large.
