Sierra House is located in the Melrose Paradise neighborhood of Phoenix, north of downtown, nestled between the Phoenix Mountains Preserve to the South and Paradise Valley and Scottsdale with all of their restaurants and shopping to the Southeast. State Route 51 is less that half a mile away and that will take you to Downtown Phoenix/the Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport. Getting around the Phoenix metro area is easiest by car. If you don't have a vehicle, Uber and Lyft do service the entire Valley area, but if you're looking to try something futuristic that is only offered (currently) in 2 cities in the US, Phoenix and San Francisco, Waymo is a driver-less transportation alternative to traditional ride sharing apps and is typically less expensive as well.
There are several fantastic dining options nearby -
Breakfast/Coffee -
Chompie's - This is a New York style deli. The fresh bagels and bialys are highly recommended. Don't forget to try the pastries as well.

OHSO Brewery - This local brewery has several types of beer, brewed in house, as well as burgers and other American style bites. They also have a dog friendly patio if you want to bring along the pups!
Dinner -
Rusconis - This seasonal and locally sourced dinner spot has wood-fired New American dishes and the restaurant is so chic! The menu is constantly being updated and shifted, but the risotto is always a good choice.
