While the house served our needs, we feel as though 5 stars is reserved for the top of the top, and this place was not it.
First off, we understand that there is a rented space in the backyard. We weren't made aware that the space could be rented by someone else. We weren't notified that it was rented, making us uneasy the first night we're in the kitchen hearing someone open the gate and go into the backyard. Notification would've gone a long ways in that regard.
Secondly, the house has been "remodeled", but extremely poorly in areas. The carport door handle barely functions. Only one shower head in the master functions. The shower head in the master that is functioning, is dirty and barely sends water out for coverage or pressure. Unfinished projects throughout the house with closet rods not hanging, crown on top of the cabinets, and other miscellaneous things. The spare bedroom door doesn't close properly having to use force and making a loud noise to close the door. Iron and board is listed as amenity but only found an iron.
The spare bathroom had a hair stuck to the shower wall, and we were told day of check in, the house was being turned over that afternoon.
The house doesn't have any lawn furniture in the front or back yard. Part of the appeal for Arizona in our opinion is the weather. Sitting outside with my friends in the evening wasn't an option.
And although it is very trivial, the 1000 piece puzzle is 989 pieces. Time for a new puzzle I think.
