Liked: Cleanliness
Excellent potential, but it has issues
It’s what I think a lot of people would want when staying in Scottsdale: new, modern, clean, safe and well-located. There’s lots to do in the immediate area. The apt dog park was awesome. Complex has tons of amenities…pool, gym, etc. Young people everywhere. The staff answered all calls and email in a timely manner.
Here’s the real deal: The check-in process was/is something like Amazing Race meets James Bond. This is a simple fix that needs much better instructions. I’m sure they’ll clean that up. For example: “When facing leasing office, Bldg A is to the right. Press your fob on the infrared boxes for entry and in elevators.” We had to ask a resident how things worked. Once we figured it out it was fine.
Here’s the biggie: There’s literally nowhere to sit and relax. Want to enjoy a drink or a movie after a long day out? Forget it. It has one tiny rickety uncomfortable IKEA “sofa” and basically a lawn chair in the living area. Perfect for an 8 year old kid, but not for adults…this is a major buzzkill. Want to sit on the patio and enjoy the outside?…nope. There is no patio furniture. Seriously, there’s just no place to be comfortable. If the sofa is considered the place for a third person to sleep then that’s ridiculous. Not a chance. The place sleeps two. I suppose you could put a small child on the sofa. All this to say it needs better furniture.
Not a big deal to us, but it’s NOT stocked. There were only two drinking glasses and mish mash of plates and silverware.
