The Franklin Mountain Cabin is located just 2 miles from downtown Philipsburg. The cabin is nestled on the side of Franklin Mountain just above town. This 2 bedroom, 1bath with additional sleeping loft offers breathtaking views of the Flint Mountains, Pintler Mountains, and the Flint Creek Valley. This place is one of a kind and just a short drive to Rock Creek, Flint Creek, Discovery Ski Mountain & Georgetown Lake. After a busy day of recreating, snuggle up with a book by the wood stove or enjoy a beautiful sunset from the covered patio with your family.

Best vacation ever
This was the greatest place I’ve ever stayed, beautiful, the hosts were amazing and easy to communicate with, and the skiing was awesome! Gunna be my go to place for trips back to Discovery Ski resort.

Wonderful place. They only things that would have made it better are a microwave and a stool to reach the very high bathroom sink (owners must be very tall!).

Phillipsburg scenic getaway

The View is Amazing
We absolutely loved the cabin. We kept joking that "glad we were all from Montana and that road up didn't phase us." The rooms were great. Everything we needed in the kitchen and a great home base for skiing at Discovery. What a gem!

Great cabin. Road to it can be difficult. Saw wx change between 30 and 77 degrees in five days, four inches of snow in May. Don't know why they don't have a microwave. Everything else is provided. Great views. Good beds. Very comfortable. Would stay there again.

We enjoyed our stay at the newer cabin. It was well appointed, spacious, clean with 3 main bedrooms. The views can’t be beat and the quiet evenings watching the sun setting over the Philipsburg valley were a highlight of our stay. Lots of windows for lots of light and awesome views from all rooms. Our host was very helpful on a few small questions we had. Be sure to walk or drive a bit further up the road to the historic ghost town of Granite.

The property and views were spectacular. It received 4 stars for cleanliness because of the abundant amount of flies- dead and alive. Another helpful thing would be if there was a blow dryer. Otherwise we really enjoyed our stay!!! We definitely will come back!

Above and Beyond
This is such a beautiful cabin with extraordinary views! The cabin was fully stocked and very clean. My Family and I stayed 17 days in Montana and had an AMAZING time and the cabin was absolutely perfect for all our needs. We traveled to Glacier National Park, Yellowstone National Park, Butte, Missoula, Anaconda etc... but there is something so charming and relaxing about returning to this property in Philipsburg that makes this property stand out! We look forward to returning to this property!

We loved our time in quite Phillipsburg. Pictures don’t do this cabin justice or the stunning views around it. Will definitely be back.

Peaceful, Queit, and relaxing
The Philipsburg cabin was great, my family and I wanted to get away from the big bad coronavirus and go to a place that was away from everything. We found it! This cabin is secluded with some awesome views. The granite and garnet ghost towns are good day trips from this house. For all travelers I would recommend stopping at Albertons grocery in anaconda on your way in and not waiting until you reach Philipsburg to buy your food. You will be disappointed that you did. The only store in Philipsburg- Huffman, was expensive and didn’t have the best selection. We ended up leaving there and driving the 40 mins back to albertons. The only reasons the property did not receive a 5 star is because it didn’t have a microwave, with little kids and reheating food, this is important. And two, it doesn’t have air conditioning, the first nite it took a while to cool down the house. The second night we bought two box fans for the windows at Ace hardware in Anaconda and it was fall feeling (70 during the day, 65 at night) in the house. Which was perfect for us! Regardless I would recommend this property as well as stay here again!
