The location was good (however, be aware that parking can be a significant issue. There is only street parking, which can be challenging to find). The check-in process for the home was easy.
However, the communication with the homeowner was appalling. Their lack of concern about our issues and refusal to address our complaints was a red flag. They were stubborn for no real reason; they easily could have rectified the situation but declined. Their indifference was disappointing and concerning.
Our primary issue with the homeowner was their handling of the AC. Despite staying in the home during the hot month of August, they were unwilling to adjust the AC to a comfortable temperature for the summer. This refusal to address a basic need was a major disappointment.
We asked them many times to fix it, but they refused.
The situation was so BAD that even VRBO was willing to give us a free hotel stay —for all seven of us.
The homeowner needed to be more knowledgeable about the issue, so even after VRBO got involved, they finally sent us these small clips of fans, but they did nothing to replace a properly functioning AC.
They created a massive issue from something so small and minor. One that majorly impacted our stay.
