"A really old house with a mix of very old and very modern furniture-really quirky. Very spacious property,well kitted out with all amenities. Situated in beautiful countryside with lots of attractions nearby. We were overwhelmed by the effort our hosts made for us and felt like old friends by the time we left. Parfaitement équipée - il y a vraiment tout ce qu'il faut - très bien tenue, elle est vraiment originale dans la mesure où il s'agit d'un ancien café rénové. Tout est grand : les chambres, les salles de bains (l'une particulièrement !), la salle à manger avec une table où l'on peut manger à 20 au moins (!), le salon ... nous étions une famille de 10 personnes et tout le monde a trouvé sa lpace !!! "Nous avons partagé une très joyeuse semaine au château de Moncla entre amis. Les enfants ont adoré profiter de la grande piscine mais également de l’ambiance chevaleresque du château. Les grands se sont régalés avec le terrain de tennis, ombragé une grande partie de la journée, avec la table de ping pong, la grande cuisine, le piano et la fraîcheur du château durant les fortes chaleurs. "The house is excellent, so much character and history, combined with lots of space and very well equipped. Our family enjoyed all aspects of the property including the BBQ, pool and ping pong area. The location/village is very quiet and but has all the necessary facilities including some very good restaurants. Car is definitely needed in order to visit some great local towns and sites, including the Pyrenees. Wonderful time enjoying the best food and everything else the South West of France has...

"The property has very nice garden, swimming pool and tennis yard. The house however requires reconstruction, especially bathrooms (only one of three is OK to use) and kitchen (very small and difficult to manage cooking for 8 people). There are only 8 proper beds, not 14 as mentioned in the ad. In neighborhood are very noisy dogs, day and night."

Clement, Regine and Jean-Francoise are the most friendly hosts you could ever wish to meet.. very welcoming with no request being too much trouble.. The Gers department of France is absolutely beautiful.. gorgeous scenery coupled with excellent food & wine. Already looking forward to next year so we can return and visit again…...

"We would not hesitate to recommend this rental. Martine’s communications were always prompt and thorough. We particularly appreciated that she left us breakfast for our first morning having arrived in the early hours. Home made plum jam was such a treat.
