"It seems to have retained some of the peace and tranquility of its previous incarnation as a monastery. I would have spent more time just enjoying the hotel as a retreat had it not been for unfortunate, but obviously necessary, construction and garden mowing in the courtyard. "

We were at an upscale resort in Tumbes earlier in the trip, and this far exceeded the service, tranquility, cleanliness, scenery by far.
