"Small comfortable apartment. Ideal for a weeks break, beautiful setting, well equipped in centre of tiny French village. Close to lots of stunning locations and places to visit. Refreshing pool and spa ideal after a hot day sight seeing. Lots of outdoor games great for kids. Host very welcoming."

"Stayed in the upstairs appartment which run the length of the building .Very well equipped with washing machine and a dish washer,a welcome surprise. The pool is in a secluded garden location. Negatives Our end bedroom had a strange en suite bathroom arrangement. A screen instead of a wall. A Jack n Jill sink taking up space that could have been used for a toilet and single sink. A bit odd!."

"The property had the advantage of a lovely pool (shared with other guests) which was fantastic as temperatures exceeded 35 degrees while we were there. The cottage was in a lovely quiet village and we purchased a lot of local produce from the Co-op cabin situated in the village square - well worth a visit. The property was ideally located to visit many lovely areas of the Dordogne such as Montignac, Sarlat, Domme and many others."

"Lovely views from the pool out across French countryside. Pool is modern, clean and good size. Some issues with the electric cover, but that was down to a failed sensor which is on order. House is lovely and unspoilt, we loved it. But for some the interior lighting might be on the dim side. This did not bother us as we were out by the pool most of the time. There are alot of steps to negotiate, some steep and narrow. Again, we were fine with it but worth noting. Overall we would highly recommend...

"Magali and Manu were very welcoming and helpful. We were very comfortable in the studio, particularly since the thick stone walls helped the flat to stay cool in the recent heatwave. "We loved this house, stayed for 12 days and relaxed and ate and drank in the early French summer. We nearly didn’t book mainly because of the lack of reviews and the somewhat, what seemed to be clumsy correspondence back and forth to the owner that at time made no sense. The house is situated on a large block, stunning driveway on the outskirts of Saint Crepin et Carculet. "Owners, caretakers, cleaners were excellent. Very proactive in ensuring our stay was brilliant. Lots of different areas to relax and be alone if desired. Expect occasional insect ingress. That’s a reflection on the hillside location. Fabulous stay. A forest fire in Bordeaux led to smoke in the area. Staff came to visit to warn us and advise us. Thank you."

All in all....great.

"Overall this was very good. Friendly staff. Nice big bedroom. All very clean and tidy...although it could do with updating, especially the bathroom. The bathroom was very clean but tired...although well scrubbed. The breakfast was plentiful with fruit, cereals, pastries, meats, cheese etc We didn't eat evening meal but it looked OK, but we went to old town Brive for a look around. Overall excellent stay and especially considering the low cost."

"Perfect little stopover on our trip in the Dordogne. The gite had everything we needed and is in a perfect location in a lovely little village. Jacqueline was a lovely host, very friendly and a phone call away if we needed anything. Thank you"

Old farmhouse with privat pool- BADEFOLS D'ANS

"The property was gorgeous, clean and the pool was stunning. The kitchen was well equipped. We had a lovely family holiday. Just a couple of points to note. The beds were very very firm, to the point of being uncomfortable. Firm beds are not for us. The listing said hot tub. We hadn’t seen one in the pictures so guessed it was a mis-print, but to confirm there is no hot-tub despite it being listed. The WiFi did not work at all. We called the host who was very good and came straight away but could not fix it. It did not get fixed the entire week we were there. You are in the countryside in an old house so mobile data signal was patchy to non-existent within the property. This can be frustrating when planning days out (or when you have teenagers.) We had a lovely holiday and visited some gorgeous locations in the region. The property was private and clean."
