Maison Farget (classified 4 stars and listed in Sawdays's "Special Places to Stay") is a large village house on three floors, which has been designed, decorated and furnished to offer you a quality stay with family or friends. The three floors are connected by a superb original spiral staircase.
On the ground floor, past the entrance hall, there is a large relaxation room (ideal for yoga or for children to play), an indoor swimming pool (7x3m) heated and with counter current swimming, as well than a sauna: relaxation guaranteed. Through its architecture mixing wood and glass roofs, the place is very bright during the day and cozy in the evening. You can enjoy the swimming pool at any time of the day (it is lit by pool lights for swimming at night).
On the first floor, the fully equipped American kitchen (with 3-seat island) is open onto a beautiful and large living room with parquet floors, with a large table (up to 10 seats), a sofa and a fireplace. This floor is connected at the back to a large outdoor wooden terrace (deck type), with views of Old Pernes and Mt Ventoux, to allow you to enjoy the sun of Provence. On this terrace, there is a second table for meals, a garden furniture, deckchairs, a hammock, a large parasol and a barbecue (charcoal). On the kitchen side, there is a charming little balcony (covered with wisteria in season) with a view of the small historical town hall square ("place de la mairie").
On the top floor, you will appreciate the mezzanine and its library, above the living room, with its many books in French and English and its pool table (6 holes).
In terms of bedrooms, the house has on different levels 6 bedrooms (sleeps 11, and a little more if needed). 4 of the bedrooms have air conditioning.
* Ground floor:
- green bedroom (double bed - sleeps 2) with a small bedroom (single bed - sleeps 1) adjacent to it.
* First floor:
- gray bedroom (double bed - sleeps 2) - with A/C
* Second floor:
- red bedroom (double bed - sleeps 2) with A/C and en-suite bathroom (bath, shower, sink),
- blue bedroom (double bed and additional mattress on mezzanine - sleeps 2/3) with A/C, a small mezzanine and individual balcony
- yellow bedroom (sleeps 2 - bunk beds for kids) also with A/C
You can thus adjust the sleeping arrangements according to your needs.
Regarding the bathrooms:
* Ground floor:
- 1 full bathroom (toilet, shower, bathtub, sink)
- 1 additional bathroom adjacent to the pool / sauna area (with shower, sink and toilets)
* Second floor:
- 1 en-suite bathroom (in the red bedroom) with shower, bath, sink
- 1 separate toilet.
Young and old will be delighted by the many games and activities (table football, electronic darts, board games, many toys, stuffed animals etc.) and the small soundproof video room adjoining the lounge (TV, Nintendo Switch, Dvds).
Pernes-les-Fontaines, between Mont Ventoux and the Luberon massif, is a charming little Provençal town ideally located for visiting the region and its tourist sites (Avignon 20 minutes away, Isle-sur-la-Morgue 10 minutes away , Gordes, Roussillon, Fontaine-de-Vaucluse, Saumane-de-Vaucluse, Ménerbes, Oppède, etc.). Pernes is particularly famous for its fountains route (walk to discover the 40 historic fountains of the city) and its Provencal market on Saturday morning (2 minutes walk from the house). You will take the opportunity to discover the region, its Provencal markets and taste its famous wines (Châteauneuf-du-Pape, Gigondas, etc.), or simply enjoy quietly the life of the village, its local shops and its cultural festivals in season.
