"We really enjoyed the unique “cave” experience of staying at this hotel. We were there for three nights. The location was perfect as middle of Oia and easy access to the main walkway. A couple of things you should know. 1) there are quite a few steps down from the main path to the hotel so coming back up required a reasonable climb (A few flights of stairs). It wasn’t excessive and likely very normal for hilly Santorini but just be aware before booking. (This is not meant as a negative comment). 2) There are no windows (except on the door). You get a great view of the water from outside on the landing. From the bedrooms there is minimal natural light. Overall I was very happy with our stay at Caldera Premium Villa. "

"This was a beautiful property high up on the mountainside. It was just as the pictures showed. The staff were wonderful on the property. For breakfast every morning we really enjoyed talking with the waiter, he was great and the food and drinks were very good. The transportation is a challenge on this island but with the help of the front desk we were able to rent a car and it was fun driving around the island, visiting all the places we wanted. In town we walked a lot. It was great The only downside was the big pool was emptied due to the recent earthquakes and so we couldn’t enjoy the beauty of the infinity pool, but that was a natural disaster not the fault of the hotel itself. We would definitely stay here again, hopefully with the pool next time! "

"The pictures are very deceptive as they do not reflect reality. I booked a room with a sea view and paid extra. There is no view at all except for a ruin and a building in front of it. I booked for 5 nights and left after 3 nights. The air conditioning does not work and there is no one in the hotel to service it. The doors do not close except with difficulty. The water in the bathroom is not stable and the furniture is all lumpy and broken including the bed and chairs. I complained during my stay to the site I visited and he called the hotel owner. The hotel owner did not care and I left the hotel before completing the number of nights. Very bad experience. "

Irini , Alex and Andreas were just amazing and accommodated all our needs like daily breakfast and handling our luggage ,booking our activities and transportation . Be ready to walk up and down very steep stairs but is completely worth it ."
