"You get what you pay for. These are a great price for space and location. They are a little tired and there's a lack of sunbeds, but overall great value for money. Beware the overspill from the clubs nearby - outside with very loud music til 6am one morning. But that's not the property's fault. The dogs are noisy but not aggressive."

"Nice apartment for the price. Ashvin and his wife are very pleasant people. The lady housekeeper was very nice also. Walkable to the big mall and food court and walkable to the beach and bus line to other beaches. All in all a very enjoyable stay."

"I would not recommend anyone because the room Hibiscus No 15 and 11 were terrible poorly maintained there were lizards everywhere and mosquitoes. We asked for a mosquito diffuser and the receptionist told us they would send one which was in vain as nobody came along. The bedsheet was torn very old and most of all we all didn’t sleep as the bed was not comfortable one could feel the wire spring on our back. One advice I would give all those booking in this place to check the room before they...

"The Lux Grand Baie is a beautiful property, service was fantastic except by the main pool, service is lacking by the pool a little. Breakfast is amazing lots of options and great quality food. The beach is beautiful and well maintained. The spa - WOW it was amazing highly recommend. The pool was great had 3 options everything well spaced out so didn’t feel overcrowded. The lobby is stunning and the restaurants were fantastic. Service is 5 star throughout. Our room was super spacious (2 bedroom apartment with a private pool) and so beautiful designed and lots of storage so great for families. It is connected by a bridge which is a 5 min or less walk but a nice walk in the mornings to breakfast would highly recommend especially for family’s who need more space!! "

First Floor, Apartment opposite the road of beautiful Pereybere Beach.

"DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY ON THIS PLACE. Filthy, smelly, old, mold, musty, pictures shown on site are at least 10yrs old. The host will not reply to your messages. I booked almost 3 weeks ahead of time, and I’ve tried in several occasions to get a hold of him to no response. I finally got a response from him the night before my departure but even that was incomplete. I had no info and no way of knowing where to go once I arrived to Mauritius . Upon my arrival I tried contacting him by phone only to find out that the number he gave me was not correct, so I emailed him only to get a reply six hours later, by that time I had to book another place to stay, and thank goodness I did. And this person refused to give me my money back. The whole experience with these people was a nightmare… "

"Bien dans l’ensemble mais manque d’entretien comme c’est dans la plupart des locations mauriciennes.Attention : pas de cafetière !!! Pas de séchoir à cheveux comme annoncéPas 1 feuille de papier toilette à notre arrivée le 1er janvier et le supermarché était fermé. Heureusement j’avais pris mes précautions et en avait emmené 1 rouleau !!!!Pas de produits d’entretien ni même sel et poivre !!!! J’avais demandé au propriétaire son mail ou son téléphone car on en avait besoin pour remplir le formulaire d’entrée â Maurice mais celui-ci n’a jamais répondu ; j’ai dû m’arranger…"

"First room was dirty and lacked amenities. Bedroom air conditioner leaked and upon a two-hour leave, returned to bed being soaked and floor with significant water pools on the tile floor. When asked to move, there was a great hesitation to switch. When received second room, the amenities were appropriate and air conditioners didn't leak. I feel as though I was being taken advantage (sub-par room) of upon my arrival, and only when there was a significant problems did the hotel allocate appropriate accommodations. "

"The (very) big plus for Jag's Villa is the location - 5 min. drive to the airport. Otherwise the rooms are standard, clean and without any deficiencies. The property is fenced/gated. The housekeepers are very friendly and accommodating. One issue travelers should be aware of: the only accepted payment form is CA$H. (receipt may be a hagle)."
