Lake House ~~ North
Waterfront retreat, welcomes you to paradise. On the Susquehanna River, Lake Aldred is an eight mile long lake form between two dams in southern Lancaster County. Come and relax and watch the eagles ( home to 8 eagles nest) you will have daily sightings. The perfect place to enjoy yourself with your favorite activities; boating, fishing, hiking, outlet shopping, Amish country. At the end of the day spectacular sunsets over the lake on your own private deck. Grilling on the gas grill or the fully equipped kitchen. Or spend the week sitting down by the lake where we have horseshoes or hit a couple golf balls into the hole.
Dockage available for your boat out front, public ramp is 1/4 mile upriver at the Pequea Creek. Plenty of parking for the trailer in the overflow area onsite.
Or just come to relax and soak up the tranquility of the area!

Relax in the open floor plan; living room with the perfect view, also enjoy watching a 70" TV, fully equipped kitchen, microwave, dish washer. Full bathroom with tubs on both floors. Bedroom 1 has a king size bed, TV and bedroom 2 has a queen size bed, TV. Bathroom on the 2nd floor also includes a washer & dryer, ironing board, hair dryer. Optional airbed for extra people available. (Note; #868495 - adjoining property for larger gatherings* pricing available, 10 additional people, making this a 5 bedroom option. )

The lake is surrounded by the Holtwood Preserve; Shenk's Ferry Wildflower Preserve(one of the best in the northeast) and Tucquan Glen Nature Preserve, Pinnacle Overlook are less than 5 miles away. Conestoga trail runs thru Pequea and joins the Mason Dixon trail system. Canoeing & kayaking are great as both the Pequea Creek and the Conestoga River end in this section of the Susquehanna River. Perfect area for water skiing or fishing. Pequea boat ramp also includes a handicapped fishing area, 1/4 mile up river.

This property was wonderful. It was just as advertised. The home is very inviting including anything you need to cook with. The beds were comfortable. The cleaning crew did a wonderful job. We felt completely comfortable there. We’d rent again without hesitation.

Communication with property owners was very fast. Property was very clean and exactly as described. The view was beautiful from the deck and the back windows. We even had a bald eagle tet in the pole and tree near our deck. Great place to rest and relax!!

Lovely Views on the River
Other than the parking being a bit adventurous, this was a great place to stay. Plenty of room, lovely deck and the picnic areas down by the water were great. The area has lots of hiking options and is a reasonable distance from Lancaster shopping.

Excellent Getaway
The property was clean and spacious with excellent views. The property manager was quick to respond to questions, which made our stay so enjoyable. The property is close to many attractions but also secluded enough to get away from the hustle and bustle. I highly recommend this property for a relaxing and fun filled getaway!

Nice getaway
My boys and I had such a nice time escaping to this beautiful area. Even with rainy weather it was serene and an enjoyable trip. The train took a bit to get used to as it ran on an evening and overnight schedule while we were there, but was not a total disruption. Easy drive to explore the state park and Lancaster.

Clean property, nice owners, enjoyed our stay. Went antiquing, to Gettysburg, to Hershey and the National Civil War museum (in Hershey). Good location for driving to other places for things to see and do.

Absolutely gorgeous view/scenery, extremely clean, very comfortable. Enjoyed the welcome wine and Pellegrino! One parking space adjacent to house. While there was overflow parking just down the street, would have at least liked 2 parking spaces right at the home.

Waterfront Retreat
This property was as described. The view is beautiful. The house was very clean and well kept. The kitchen is well equipped. It is located away from the hustle and bustle of the city but well within drivng distance to restaurants, entertainment, etc. I highly recommend this property.

Lake House Extraordinaire
Beautiful lake house and so happy we got to stay there. My family and I stayed in many rental homes around the country and this place is definitely in the top of the list. Our group of 6 had a fantastic stay at the river house. I would definitely stay there again and look forward to booking a summer trip. It was great having the dock to tie up a few tunes to float on the river. The owners of the property take great care of the house and provide excellent communication.
