The Dockside is the premier waterfront vacation rental and event space in Pepin. Right on the lake with expansive views of the marina and river bluffs, it's the perfect place to stay for large groups/families, weddings, or any other reason! Our two units -- the A-Frame Cabin and the Marina Bungalow -- combine to make one huge (2600 sq ft) 4-bedroom, two-kitchen property. Enjoy the outdoor hot tub, too!
Each unit can also be rented separately -- see my Host Profile for the listings!
The Dockside is a five-star vacation rental and event space located on the riverfront in the village of Pepin, Wisconsin, just 90 minutes southeast of the Twin Cities. It's the perfect spot for anyone visiting Pepin or the Great River Valley area, whether it's for a wedding, vacation, staycation, special event, or any other reason!
Our two units -- the A-Frame Cabin and the Marina Bungalow -- offer two equally comfortable but slightly different experiences: the A-Frame Cabin has an amazing balcony view of the Pepin Marina, lake, and river bluffs, and all the charm of a cedar-paneled A-frame. The Marina Bungalow sits right on the street level, just a stone's throw from the water, with a panoramic view of the lake, a large open floor plan with exposed beams, and a huge kitchen and dining area along with an outdoor hot tub. It's a brand-new remodel with impeccable mid-century modern styling, perfect for wedding photo shoots, entertaining, and more.
Altogether, you'll have four bedrooms, two kitchens, two dining areas, three living rooms, and lots of space!
The drive along the Great River Road, with panoramic views of the Mississippi and Lake Pepin, is one of the most scenic in the Midwest. Pepin is a great place to cruise, fish, sail, golf, bicycle or just hang out for the day. Nearby attractions include Villa Bellezza winery, The Harbor View Cafe, Maiden Rock Cidery, The National Eagle Center, Buena Vista Park, and several parks and hiking trails. The Dockside is steps from the Pepin Marina, where you can charter a sailboat, swim at the public beach, or rent kayaks. Within short drives, the nearby towns of Stockholm, Maiden Rock, Nelson, Alma and Wabasha offer even more local shopping, food, and sightseeing.
There is a large driveway with plenty of space for up to six vehicles. You can walk all over the village, and lots of other sightseeing is a short drive away. Check-in is easy with a keybox and a code.
I am always reachable by phone, message and text for any questions or concerns!
Please note that there is an active train line right out in front of the house -- it runs the entire length of the village and river, and freight do trains pass by somewhat frequently, so once in a while there is the rumble of a train chugging by. Most people find it charming and not a big distraction (kids really love it), but if you're a very light sleeper this is something to note!
There is so much to see and to do here in the great river valley! I'll be happy to share all my tips with you on dining, sightseeing, and activities.
Please remove your shoes in the entryways! Absolutely no loud parties. Quiet hours begin at 10pm, and must be respected for the sake of our neighbors. No pets unless previously authorized by the host, and absolutely no smoking.
We've got super nice neighbors, so it's really important to make sure they are not disturbed during your stay. Please be quiet and respectful while here, and when entering/exiting the property or spending time in the yard or on the deck. Thanks!
