Dining staff was terrible. Upon arrival, we were given a credit for breakfast for three that we did not ask for, but was offered as a conp due to our room not being a full ocean front view as we paid for. The next morning upon attempting to redeem the comp, the staff at the dining area at first refused to honor the comp and then insisted it was only for two regardless of the fact that the card had a #3 on it. The two women were very dismissive and defensive when all they had to do was contact hotel management. After about 20 minutes of treating us like crap, they finally did just that and told me. When our food was ready, they set it down in front of us. Not one word. We took it to go because that environment was not one we needed to be in if we were going to enjoy our very short vacation. As a single mom who works 50 hours a week and takes only very brief "vacations" a year, I don't want my kids having to deal with people who clearly don't belong in the hospitality business. I worked in the business for several years. You don't treat repeat customers like that. We likely won't be staying at Courtyards anymore after this xp.
