Huge Historical Victorian Mansion in Downtown Pensacola

Travel back in time in your own private historical mansion! Wine & dine your guests in good old fashioned style right in the heart of historical downtown Pensacola just one block off Palafox St. This beautiful 4400 sqft Victorian home boasts 6 bedrooms, 6 bathrooms 2 dining areas a grand lobby, proper parlor as well as a comfortable TV room. Unique features such as soaring 11 foot ceilings, original stained glass windows and an ornate grand wood staircase.

The space
One of Pensacola’s architecturally significant Victorian homes. Built originally in 1904 for the Thomas W. Brent, Jr. family. It has also been a hotel, a bed-and-breakfast, an advertising agency, and many more. Previously featured in Southern Living Magazine. The house construction initiated in 1902 by Steamboat Captain James M. Flynn and was completed around 1904 when the Brent family moved in. While this home has served many roles throughout its history, many of the charming historic details remain intact today. This includes the ornate wooden staircase in the foyer, 7 original fireplaces each with a unique hand carved wooden mantel. A favorite detail are the stunning stained glass windows throughout the house!

Guest access
Guests will have private access to the entire home, yard, porch and deck. There is parking around the back of the home that can accommodate approx 7-10 vehicles if organized well.

Other things to note
Being a 100+ year old home staying here is a little different than staying in a modern construction home. Please be mindful of low railings and fragile elements.

A dream come true
Even better than the photos, this home is a work of art, through and through. It made us all feel as though we got to visit a fascinating, living museum, then got to stay overnight(s). Every room holds surprises and delights. So much character and warmth. he hosts were very responsive when we couldn't figure out the entry (didn't read the instructions--oops) and worked with us on check in-so gracious. Unforgettable.

This was one of the only properties in the area that could accommodate all of us under one roof and I’m glad we found it. Shanna(host) was very nice and easy to communicate with. The house was aesthetically pleasing to say the least. And being walking distance from downtown was a huge plus. We’re already planning next years trip to stay here again

The perfect place for a family gathering. Plenty of place for everyone. Good location. The house was well maintained. Neighborhood is very quiet. Somethings were within walking distance. Kids loved the Mess Hall that is nearby. The beach was a big hit. We all had a great time.

Dance Nationals house
We had 4 families (11 people) staying in this lovely home for a dance Nationals. There was plenty of room for everyone and the kids had so much fun in this big Victorian. The convention center was a mile away as well as several restaurants and a charming town. Some in our party just walked backed and forth all week. Great for parking and a huge bin for trash was easily accessible. Great communication from the owner! Thank you!!

Great Lodging for a Group

I was looking for a property that was big enough to host my out-of-town family for a reunion plus space where some can stay the night and this house did not disappoint. From the initial booking, the host was very helpful and accommodating and just overall amazing My family enjoyed every single moment at this house, we could not have asked for a better experience and honestly I cannot relay how fantastic the house and overall weekend was in Pensacola. If anyone is looking for a unique property to host family or just relax, I say book it now you would not find a better host. I’m truly happy , we made the decision to stay here. Walking into the house for the first time was waaaay cool. We loved the bar area and all the space the first floor had for folks to hang out. It allowed for groups to kind of segregate based on what they wanted to do and discuss etc. Really neat place with tons of room, nice beds, can’t say enough good things about it. Yes it is 100 years old. That is what makes it cool. It was spotless and awesome!!
