Contemporary cottage for 2 people (plus baby) in rural setting near to Falmouth

We are a small farm, now non-working except for a few chickens, four sheep and our friendly dog Meg. The two cottages, Rose and Bryony, were converted in 2011 from former cowsheds by the architect Nigel Stock, and are furnished with furniture from Mark Product - our expanding high end furniture business. The design is contemporary with wooden floors and fresh colours. All amenities are new and to a high standard. The cottages are all on one level with views across fields and each has a private west-facing deck with seating and barbecue. You are free to roam over our eight acres with a stunning view from the top taking in the span of Cornwall from north to south coasts.
Flexibility in accommodation is available for larger family or friends group as we have an adjoining door that will enable you to access both cottages.
For children we have a field with a swing and trampoline sunk into the ground, treehouse and lots of space to explore and make dens. We are also close to many of Cornwall s finest beaches on the north, south and west coasts. The towns of Falmouth, Truro and Penryn are all close by. A perfect base for a Cornwall holiday.

Fun in Falmouth
We really enjoyed being at Bryony Cottage. Kathryn was really welcoming and very helpful and available throughout our stay. It felt like a home from home - well designed and easy to be in. Excellent place if you want to retreat. Cottage well insulated and a regular Watership Down with all the bunnies at the back at dusk!

Lovely cottage in super area
Great cottage, beautiful area with fine views, comfortable bed though a touch firm, maybe because it is new. Kitchen has all you need, great location for seeing all of West Cornwall with Lands End in under an hour and many fine harbours to see nearby. Friendly host but gave us our space. Great place for taking our dog, plenty of walking in the fields and rabbits to chase! Falmouth expecially dog-friendly including good restaurants. This Will definitely return again in the future.

Bryony Cottage was perfect accommodation for the two of us , well equipped and in a tranquil locatio
It was clean, well equipped and warm to walk in to after a day walking in the cool wind . We wanted to light the wood burner but couldn’t justify doing so as we would have been too warm ! Piping hot water for shower/ bath . Tranquil, country setting and ideally located to explore the south coast . Would definitely recommend ( have done so already !) and we intend to return .

Lovely, peaceful holiday home
This house was lovely to stay in. Plenty of room for two people and our dog. Our only issue was that we didn't find out until we got to the property that our dog wouldn't be allowed on the furniture or in the bedroom. I feel this is something that should have been advertised beforehand as we have a very cuddly dog! Other than that, the location was lovely and quiet with plenty of things to do near by.

Bryony Cottage, Saint Gluvias, Penryn, Cornwall
We loved the cottage. A great location set in the countryside but easy to get to other places. Lovely walks straight from the door and a secure garden for our dog. Nice and modern and feeling spacious with patio doors opening straight onto the private decking area. One of the nicest holiday cottages we have stayed at and would love to return.

Lovely Cottage
We took a chance and went down after Christmas and the weather was lovely. This is a lovely cottage, modern, finished to a very high standard and is very comfortable. Loved the wood burning stove, which made it nice and cosy of an evening. Nice and central for all the main beaches and locations. Dogs were allowed which is important to us. Fab thanks for a great stay.

CLEAN ,TIDY QUIET LOCATION,IDEAL FOR WALKERS .
QUIET PEACEFUL LOCATION , ENJOYED THE MODERN KITCHEN , THE PATIO WAS NICE TO SIT IN DURING THE AFTERNOON SUN, FOR US PERSONALLY THE LOCAL PUBS WERE TO FAR TO WALK TO ENJOY AN EVENING MEAL. THE LOCATION WAS EASY AND ACCESSIBLE FOR FALMOUTH, WE ALSO VISITED OTHER BEACHES AND PUBS WHICH WERE ON YOUR LOCAL INFORMATION CARDS.

Quiet, and cozy, yet modern cottage in farming environment
We, parents and our one-year old daughter, had a great time in this well-equipped, modern cottage. Everything was working well and fitted our needs. The animals (dog "Meg", some sheep, chicken and lots of rabbits) were great to watch for our kid and Meg and one "crazy" chicken (sometimes trying to enter the cottage through the front door, at times successfully...) were even wiiling to be petted. The cottage is located in the coutryside, but Penryn and Falmouth are sufficiently close to do shopping or dining. As a small point, the kittchen outfit could be completed a bit, e.g. by a second frying pan and a large cooking pot. The bedroom is a little bright in the morning, so our daughter became active somewhat early at times. The owners, living across the driveway, were very nice and helpful, but we had all the privacy we could hope for.

Relaxing , comfortable accommodation for an elderly dog and his humans
The cottage was comfortable and well equipped and felt quite spacious. It was very nice to come home to after a busy day exploring, to find the sun shining on the sheltered patio from which we had a nice view of fields and rabbits. Although at first the winding lane to the property felt very long we quickly realised that in fact we were not far from lots of nice beaches and beautiful gardens. We particularly liked Trebah and Tressilick Gardens, also Grebe Beach and Church Cove. (Because we had a dog we couldn't go on most of the best, sandy beaches). It was good to have the friendly, helpful owners close by and to find essentials such as tea, coffee, milk and especially a bottle of wine to welcome us on arrival. The facilities for the dog were excellent - everything on one level, an enclosed garden and fields for him to exercise in. I would certainly recommend this property to anyone who likes to be in a quiet location. The one-bedroom cottage was fine for us as a fairly elderly couple but you could also have a real family holiday here by renting the adjoining cottage as well.

Return visit to Bryony Cottage
This was our second visit to Bryony Cottage. We just love the peace and quiet, all you can hear are the birds singing. The cottage is very well equipped, clean and comfortable. Milk, tea and coffee are provided for that first cuppa on arrival. Also flowers and wine which is a lovely touch. It is in a very central location so easy to get out and about. Everything you need is in Falmouth. Would particularly recommend Fuel, The Lookout and Five Degrees West for eating. Thank you Kathryn and John for another lovely week at Bryony.
