"Noisey with a lot of crying children near the garden delux rooms, the kids zone was closed due to maintenance which was frustrating since travelling with younger children. Seen a child vomit in garden bed and watch staff throw a bucket of water over it. Gross. Sadly I don’t think we will return after staying there half a dozen times in the past. "

"I cannot say enough good things. The staff really made our stay. So friendly and welcoming. Especially Wai Yan (sp?) who made delicious happy hour drinks at the poolside bar. I feel like I made a new friend as we had several great discussions! The pool is beautiful and very quiet (we were there in low season - Feb) the breakfast was also incredible and so was room service. There was construction going on for a couple of hours every day which was very noisy at the pool. I wish I had known that...

"I’ll absolutely be back at Mason elephant lodge. It was the kindest service we’ve ever had. The food is amazing, the spa is amazing, and the elephants are so so happy! If you’re worried, google elephant body language. They are reproducing as well, which is a huge sign they are healthy and happy. Their keepers have been with their elephant for decades. It’s an amazing place. I can’t wait to come back. Special shout out to Oka! He is a doll. "

"Great resort for those with kids. Kids club and pools are staffed by friendly people who genuinely love interacting with the kids. Only downside is the distance from the beach - although only a 10-15min walk by adults, it’s challenging to walk with small kids on the busy roads which are shared by cars, scooters, motorcycles and pedestrians. "I really enjoyed my stay here... the hotel is right on Kuta Beach, and there many dining and shopping choices. I was given a room upgrade, and was able to see the sea from my room, which had two different balconies. It's an older hotel, now going through renovation, but what I liked about my room was ample closet space for clothing... Staff, as I have found in my travels for indonesia, were sweet, friendly, and helpful."
