"Let’s cut through the chase. This is a bargain hotel. The best price in Écija. As such one shouldn’t expect that much. For what I expected, I give it 5 stars. Very clean. Restaurant downstairs. Pillow was above average, so was my twin bed. The showers took forever to get hot but it did get hot. Wasn’t expecting a bidet but got one. Room was spacious. TV was small but we don’t use them often if at all so not a problem for us. It’s kind of a pain to have to buzz in and out of the place, but I gotta give it to them, they responded every time. I expected it to be noisy, it wasn’t. Still ear plugs are a good idea here as walks are thin. Checking in took a long time (maybe the gas station employee was new?). "

"We stayed here with 17 of us and it was the perfect place for a group. The property is well amenitised with lots of bedrooms, towels, kitchen supplies, outdoor space, and so on. The pool is big and we were able to have parties without any complaints. You do have to pay for AC separately however this was very affordable. Overall, a great stay with excellent hosts!"

"We had a fantastic stay at La Escribana. The house is perfect and the garden is very spacious and verdant. The couple that look after the property, Lola and Fernando, are extremely attentive and were a real pleasure to meet- they attended every day to sort the pool and tend the immaculate garden and were always happy to offer suggestions for local bars, restaurants, trips, etc. Maarten, the owner of the property, was in communication from the start and was very responsive and helpful dealing with any queries. Constantina is a pleasant, working agricultural town which does not get many tourists. The property is outside the village itself, is only a 10 min walk away and has all the amenities you may need- a good range of supermarkets/food shops and plenty of bars with excellent food. Sevilla and Cordoba are about an hour's drive away, the lovely city of Carmona 45 mins. We would highly recommend and would love to go back again."

"The property is really nice. The pool is lovely and was very much needed during our summer stay. The only problem is the two upstairs bedrooms do not have any air-conditioning. There are plenty of fans provided which is excellent, however they were only able to blow warm air so we have quite a few uncomfortable nights sleep. There is only one air-conditioning unit in the front room. Information for the avid tea drinkers, there isnt a kettle so you have to boil water using a pan. Overall we really enjoyed our stay and Manuel was great at communicating from the moment we made the booking :)"

"Beautiful old historic building. Unique atmosphere. A little off the main motorway but well worth the drive. Staff very friendly and nice long pool to relax around. "

"BEWARE, it does NOT have two “double beds” as posted online. It has ONE double bed in the one bedroom, and one SOFA BED (with two single size mattresses in the living room). The mattresses were thin and harder than a wooden plank. All mattresses were uncomfortable. Deceiving post. Very disappointing."
