The Aiyana

5.0 star property
9.6 out of 10, Exceptional, (44)
"Excellent stay even though it rained 2 full days while I was there. The room and grounds are gorgeous. The bathtub and outside shower are amazing. Note there’s no wifi in the villas but you can download in the main dining area. The meals were scrumptious. You will not leave hungry. The fresh juices were delicious and the tuna poke bowl was a favorite. The dining staff is very attentive and would bring me seconds of what I liked before even thinking to ask. They even packed me a breakfast as I...

Pemba Paradise

3.0 star property
8.6 out of 10, Excellent, (9)
"My husband and I stayed at Pemba Paradise for 4 nights in January 2023. There aren't a lot of options on Pemba, and of course Aiyana and Manta are the premium (and very expensive) places to stay on the northern end. Having stayed at a great number of hotels in many parts of the world, for Pemba Island I consider Pemba Paradise upper middle level. PROS: The property is quite extensive and the pool is quite nice. The beach area is beautiful and provides ample opportunity to walk for a long...

Love island views, coral reefs, and beaches? Get away to Pemba Island!

This is the bedroom in the Underwater room at the Manta resort on Pemba island ,Tanzania. A night here was beautiful, amazing, mind boggling and utterly exhausting as you just dont sleep you are too enthralled with watching the fish swim around or running upstairs to watch the incredible night sky. Luckily the rest of the resort is a calm beautiful oasis where on your next day you can just relax and enjoy. I blogged about the experience here http://circlingthebucketlist.com/index.php/2017/12/18/my-stay-at-the-manta-resort-and-the-underwater-room/
