"We had a lovely stay at Pousada Recanto. The staff are helpful and the breakfast was impressive, a full spread of eggs, fruit and pastries. It’s about a five minute walk to the beach and a 15 to 20 minute walk into the historic center. Rustic and friendly. "

"I had a Nice time during my stay. The hotel staff are friendly, food is awesome (just just include a kids menu at the burger house). My kid loved the game area and the pool. There are just fez improvements such as mattress (tooooo soft) and must put the dogs away from breakfast/lunch/dinner area. They bother too much for food."

Zero out of ten!

"DO NOT STAY HERE unless you 1) like being bitten by insects / sleeping in insect repellent, 2) have unlimited data on your mobile phone, 3) have a deep love of cats and/or 4) have a complete disregard of your own health and safety. I've written a more thorough review on Google but a special mention to Hotels.com/Expedia for quickly refunding me for this nightmare after providing photographic evidence. Not one member of staff speaks English or understands the concept of Google translate, they'll verbally reply to you in Portuguese (it's a tourist hotspot so not unfair to ask for some to speak basic English). There are cats everywhere even though the hotel has a no pet policy and WiFi doesn't work in any of the rooms. They put this on their own website (if you Google translate it) but have failed to inform all third-party websites that are selling their rooms."

"Casa Mar, and everything about the experience was exceptional. The property itself was beautiful, offering a serene, laid-back atmosphere that made it easy to relax and unwind. One of the highlights was the nearby beach—it was wonderfully secluded, far from the usual crowds, providing a peaceful and private escape. The sunrises were absolutely breathtaking, with vibrant colors lighting up the sky and reflecting off the calm water. It was a perfect way to start the day. The staff were friendly and accommodating, and the overall vibe of Casa Mar was exactly what we needed for a tranquil getaway. Highly recommend!"
