"The Mimpi Resort was a great choice. The rooms and courtyards with hot tubs offered great comfort and privacy, peace, and quiet. The restaurant has excellent food. And the staff were truly exceptional in their efforts to make us as comfortable as possible. The only downside is mosquitos. Not in air-conditioned rooms, but outside. So bring bug spray and mosquito coils and have a wonderful holiday."

"DO NOT GO IN RAINY SEASON with garden suite. The bathroom is totally open to the elements, only half a roof. Mosquito heaven when you go to the bathroom and one time a spider bit me."

"Wonderful setting, lovely to snorkel off the beach, rooms amazing. Diving good. Pool And pool area absolutely stunning. View from property stunning. I am stayed in most basic tent option first and later the tent with a view and a private pool. Both were equally amazing. Although they are tents they have all mod cons and are beautifully decorated. Grounds really well cared for. Really appreciated that there are drinking water dispensers scattered throughout the property. Staff very nice. View stunning. Setting stunning. One downside - terrible food. Both Indonesian and western cooked food was often inedible. I would still go back. The place is so above average in every other way that I didn’t mind that the food was not good. I highly recommend the place but foodies should be prepared for disappointment "

"The Plataran Menjangan provides an oasis of peace and serenity. I loved being away in the bush, but in such a luxurious bungallow, and seeing so many amazing animals. Staying here for 5 nights was such a treat and a great way to recharge myself after a really stressful period. A truly magical place"

"This is a very interesting property….driving up the very narrow dirt road…we had the feeling that we made a wrong turn! Many private villas that compromise the resort….restaurants were exceptional- food and service outstanding and the spa was next-level!!! It was a bonus for us that we had one of only a handful of bungalows without a private pool….which meant we enjoyed nearly all to ourselves the 30 meter infinity edge pool with view of the sea and Java’s volcanoes ….was better than a private villa!!!! Not to be missed is the snorkeling day trip out to Menjangan island….clarity of water, so many live corals and incredible amounts of fish….gave us a bit of hope for our planet! Only downside is the vast amount of noise emanating from multiple nearby mosques….sounded like they were competing with one another…..🌠"
