"Comfy and cozy home overlooking new river just a half hour from VA Tech. The place was clean and everything was labeled for easy use. While you can hear the trains on the track go by, I found it relaxing like white noise. We came here for a football game, but I would stay here again during warm weather to enjoy the river. "Be sure to follow host's directions instead of GPS to avoid a one lane road. The small kitchen/living area does not have much seating, and one of the bathrooms is tiny, but was a much nicer space for 6 adults than a hotel for one night. The decor and homey touches, such as the mini cokes and brownies our host left were appreciated. It was nice to have a washer and dryer for a quick load of laundry. "We had 4 adults and a 3 year old and 2 dogs for the week. The house was clean,large kitchen area and living room. We encountered rain each day and the effects of Hurricane Helene. The weather could have been better, but we had fun anyway. I would recommend this home. "

"I feel the property manager should warn people that there’s nowhere to get any food after 2:30 PM. There is a small grocery store that doesn’t have much. We may do the property itself was very nice. We were very comfortable. I feel you need to put a lamp in the living room so that we don’t have to put up with the glare of the overhead light, you need to use less air freshener I am smell sensitive and it gave me a headache.
