Penny-Wise Paradise In Pawleys Island

I invite you to make my 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom prestine condo on the 10th fairway of the Pawleys Plantation golf course, your home away from home on your visit to beautiful Pawleys Island. Pawleys continues to be known for its shoeless, carefree, laid-back life style, which includes crabbing in the adjacent creeks, fishing, the stories of ghosts, the rope hammocks and the unspoiled, unsophisticated, casual, delightful stretch of wide beach and sand dunes.

This newly renovated and affordable vacation rental at Pawleys Island Golf and Country Club has a great location and is only a 5 minute drive to the ocean. Pawleys Plantation is a gated community located 20 minutes from Myrtle Beach, 10 minutes from historic Georgetown, and 10 minutes from Murrells Inlet, the Seafood Capital of South Carolina.

The fully furnished rental condo features a living room with a 50 in Plasma HDTV, blue ray DVD player, Time Warner cable with over 200 channels and HBO, wireless internet, and a ceiling fan. The kitchen is fully equipped with a bar area large enough to seat 3 and a dining area for four people. There is a wet bar that accompanies the dinning area.

The master bedroom has a king size bed with a new Sterns and Foster mattress, large closet, and a full size bathroom with a tub/shower combination and vanity. There is a 32 in HDTV with a blue ray DVD player in the master. The second bedroom has 2 queen beds, both with new Simmons Beautyrest mattresses with another large closet, full sized bathroom with a tub/shower combination, vanity and another vanity outside the bathroom. This bedroom has a 26 in HDTV with a DVD player for your use.

The condo also has a large tiled porch for relaxing while watching the golf on the 10th fairway. In the entryway, there is a washer dryer area and an information center where you can find information about the various restaurants, or the local entertainment such as fishing, canoeing, kayaking, and other water sport rentals.

Fantastic Getaway
We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Penny Wise over the Thanksgiving Holiday. The owner was a pleasure to work with and the place was above and beyond our expectations. PERFECT in every way !
One of the best stocked vrbo locations we found. Pristine, clean, great beds and master shower is great! All the amenities one could want... even doggie Toys! The grounds are immaculate and great for walking and the location is perfect as well. Highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a great get away.

Pawleys Plantation is an excellent getaway. In Penny-Wise you will love the cleanliness, a user friendly kitchen, and a hostess who is amazing. After several visits to this condo it is one I continue to revisit.

Terrific in every way
Debbie is the most thoughtful VRBO host we have had. Her communications in advance, her suggestions once we arrived, the fact that the condo has everything we needed including beach chairs, a pass to Huntington State Park (highly recommend for future guests), key fob for the swimming pool, well equipped kitchen, plus stuff like a small cooler to take cold drinks to the beach. So many little things that made the stay very special. Great and memorable experience.

Pawley’s Island Paradise
We had a great stay at this property. It was very clean and everything you would need was available from a fully stocked kitchen to beach towels and park pass. The location is great, just a short ride to Murrells Inlet and Myrtle Beach. The condo is located on a beautiful golf course, we enjoyed our morning coffee on the peaceful patio watching the squirrels and golfers. I highly recommend this property and can’t wait to stay again.

Great location & beautiful condo/area
We wanted a low key spring break escape, convenient to Myrtle that offered peace & quiet and this was perfect. The condo is exactly as pictured and the owner was extremely welcoming, responsive and helpful. Her suggestions for restaurants and places to see were just what we were looking for. The area is fun to explore with so many great restaurants. We are looking forward to a return trip soon!

Awesome beach condo
The condo was clean, well equipped, organized and the mattress was amazing. You have everything you need here and then some. Enjoyed watching the golfers and the use of the Huntington Beach pass! Very close drive to Pawleys Island Beach. Great restaurant nearby. Awesome golf course. Owner Debbie is very nice!

Relaxing at the beach with friends.
The experience was great. We all were able to enjoy our week stay in a comfortable and clean environment. The area is not far from other attractions at the beach. Pawleys Island beach is beautiful and serene. If you did not want the beach you could go to the pool which was clean and private. We felt very safe in the area. Very close to good grocery stores and restaurants for all types of eaters and shopping.

What a perfect vacation stay!
This condo is located in a very nice country club and golf gated community. My greatest compliments go to the owner ( Debbie) , who has invested so much thought and planning into making sure the condo has everything anyone might need or want ( and in such well organized fashion)! The condo is nicely and comfortably furnished, has all the conveniences of home away from home. The outdoor patio is a great place to relax. The beach is a short drive away, there are lots of restaurants in the area. We appreciated Debbie’s insight and suggestions about the local restaurants, etc. We would love to come back!

Great Rental
This condo is the best. It is spacious and comfortable and in a great location. Pawley’s Plantation is a great place to relax and unwind, very dog friendly. Debbie is a conscientious host, taking great pride in her property. She makes the rental process friendly and easy. The kitchen is very well-stocked, so you don’t end up having to take your own utensils/kitchen gadgets on vacation. This means you can go on vacation and experience the comforts of home, including a washer/dryer if needed. We’ll definitely be back.

Feels like home!
I have experienced some great VRBO rentals over the past12 years; Debbie's condo is one of the best of them. She is accessible and stays on top of any issues. Our five weeks in her condo was a blessed time. Her attention to detail & her well-stocked home was a nice welcome for us. Our terrier, Maggie, loved the walks at Huntington Beach and in Pawleys Plantation. I especially loved the peacefulness of the Plantation and it was convenient to Georgetown where we had fun exploring the history. Thanks Debbie for being such a gracious host.

quick spring vacation
We stayed at Debbie's condo for 2 weeks in April. What a great location! We found the golf course environment to be very relaxing, especially from the screened in porch (great for reading a book or enjoying a glass of wine). We do a lot of our own cooking and were pleased with the well equipped and well stocked kitchen. Simple things like spices or wax paper or plastic wrap were available. Beach towels, beach chairs, umbrellas were also handy (it seems like Debbie has given a lot of thought to make her place very comfortable and very welcome). We look forward to returning next year.

Wonderful property and location!
This was a great rental for the price. Owner was very easy to communicate with. This property is well stocked with kitchen, bath and beach items. Only thing is no coffee so bring some along. You have your choice of carafe or Keurig. A big reason we stayed here is this property is dog friendly. If your not a dog lover, not a big deal as you would never know someone had a dog prior to your stay as this property is exceptionally clean! We enjoyed wrapping up our day with a cold beer and round of cribbage on the back porch. Very nice setting out there and a great view of the 10th hole tee off. The grounds are beautiful so we really enjoyed morning walks with our dog around the property. Very close to all the beaches and fun things to do and see in Pawley’s Island, Murrell’s Inlet and Georgetown. We will definitely be back one day and recommend to family & friends.

Despite Tropical Storm Eta...
We had a restful stay that made for a much-needed change of scenery in these quarantine days.. First day beautiful, second day wonderful at the beach since as the storm was approaching, few people, big surf, and beautiful ocean (if you like gray stormy looking seas). Third day we left in buckets of rain, but not a problem since we were on our way out. The condo is as restful as ever, wonderfully comfortable bed after a long day, well-equipped kitchen since we ate out very little during these COVID-19 times. Thanks again, Debbie. We hope to return again in the Spring!

Perfect Winter Spot
We spent 2 months this winter here to escape the cold & snow in New England. Very comfy cozy condo surrounded by beautiful live oak trees with views of golf course from screened in patio. Loved the first floor entry for easy access and unpacking. Fully stocked kitchen with every utensil, cooking appliance, dish ware you could think of. Nicely decorated living space. Very spacious king master which opens to patio. Other double Queen bedroom has its own on suite. Debbie was very responsive to any question we had. Nice laid back vibe in Pawleys Island full of boutiques, restaurants, grocery stores, etc. We plan on returning in the future.

We’ve been visiting here for 10 years. Debbie is a great host. We forgot a few items and she mailed them to us. The condo was clean. Enjoyed the birdsong of the Carolinas wrens. Got a few excellent photos of bald eagles along the south causeway road to Pawleys Island. We ate shrimp like it was our jobs. The Islander Bar and Grill, despite appearances, has some of the best peel and eat around and the staff are friendly. We even went to TW Graham’s in Mclellanville where the shrimp boats come in. Hog Heaven sells steamed oysters from September until April and it’s an experience shucking them and listening to the constant sound of shells hitting the plastic Ace Hardware buckets from the tables around us. Caledonia Golf and Fish Club, despite its high peak season rates, is magical and there’s no other course like it. The recent renovations to Pawleys Plantation Golf Course have greatly improved it. No more desert treks through the old waste bunkers. You can also get an unlimited day pass at the Pawleys Plantation driving range which is a convenient 60 second drive away for $10.

Two week getaway
We really enjoyed our stay at Debbie's property. It was perfect for us and our dog, it's in a great location, and the condo itself had all the amenities we could need. Plus Pawleys Plantation is a nice community with plenty of areas for walking, biking, and other recreation. We hope to stay again in the future.

Nice condo
Condo is well stocked and comfy! The beach was great and we had wonderful weather! Unfortunately the washing machine was leaking and repairman didn’t come until Friday. He was unable to repair but Debbie said use it anyway during the week. I dried 3 sets of towels from leak but we washed anyway as we only brought so many clothes! The shower for our room was inoperable so we used other room’s shower. Our son only stayed 2 nights so we weren’t putting anyone out. Debbie was great to compensate us for our concerns. Thank you, Debbie! Golf was fun! Played 3 different courses. Pawleys is the best and we go back year after year! Debbie’s place is great and I’m sure she’ll take care of everything soon!
