Walk to the Beach~Chill by the Pool

Casa Sol with a private pool, is one side of modern and cozy duplex with air conditioning. Sleeps 5. The pool area is entirely covered, so you can lounge by the pool no matter the weather, rain or shine. Don't worry, there is plenty of space for sunbathing as well, on the lawn in the enclosed private grounds. A short walk to the beach, the house is located perfectly within walking distance to the famous Pavones Point beach break, the town, park, and local restaurants.

For larger groups or family reunions, both units are available to rent together under TWO HOUSES with private Pool.

The living space includes the kitchen and living room that has a high vaulted ceiling and a sleeping loft that overlooks it all.

The full kitchen has all the necessities for throwing together a delicious feast if you want to hang out rather than checking out the list of great restaurants in Pavones.

Air conditioning is a must in a steamy tropical paradise! The house is well insulated and sealed off from bugs and weather. Wi-Fi also keeps you in touch and up to date with the rest of the modern world.

Enjoy the shade below the immense canopy covering the pool and patio area, lounging in hammocks and comfy pool chairs while keeping an eye on the grill in the outdoor chef zone.

The local Squirrel Monkey population uses the property line as a natural corridor between the jungle and the beach. Bird watching is non-negotiable.

The house is about 10-minute walk to one of the most picturesque beaches in the area and about a fifteen-minute walk to one of the best surf breaks in the world.

The entire property is well fenced, provides off street parking and is safe for the kids.

Offshore bill fishing: We can arrange larger boats out of Golfito, an hour away. The boat we like to recommend is with Capt. Bobby McGuiness holding 300 IGFA saltwater fishing records aboard a 37’ Merritt. Billfish Foundation named him The World's Top tagging Captain for Pacific Blue Marlin. All is included on this full day with exception of Fishing Licenses if applicable and tips to Captain and Mate. You have excellent shots at Sailfish, Marlin, Yellowfin Tuna and Dorado (Mahi Magi)! You will be fishing some of the best waters in the world for these fish! We suggest your reservations early as prime fishing season begins in November.

Panga Fishing: Full days (2:00pm, sometimes 3:00pm), and half days (12:00 md), whether fishing out on the Pacific, inside the gulf or both. You decide! Full days include sandwiches, a couple of beers each, water and fruits. Half days usually do not include sandwiches. All fishing tackle provided with good quality Captains.

Boat over to Matapalo: Usually a morning departure and 45 minute boat ride to view the pricelessly beautiful Osa Peninsula from the water. You can also take your boards and surf any one of three right-hand points. Often you will troll on the way over to see if you can hook up a fish to eat on your return. Six Persons

Whale Watching and Dolphin Excursions: When in season, A special sight to see whales breach on their annual migration into the Golfo Dulce.

Boat Taxi: This is a nice comfortable alternative to a land taxi if you have to get to Golfito, Puerto Jimenez or Matapalo.

Land Taxi: For those needing to get to almost anywhere on the Peninsula, Ciudad Neilly, Paso Canoas, Golfito or almost anywhere in the Southern Zone, even to San Jose.

Daily Guide Services: A driver with your auto can take you around the area to visit some of the nearby beaches or just about whatever you might like to do.

Hikes: Up into the hills to see monkeys (There are three types common in this area), toucans, parrots and sometimes dartfrogs maybe even a sloth.

River Hikes / Tubing (Tubing is subject to availability at the moment)
Up the Rio Claro to super serene settings and possibly to get rivershrimp (prawns) for you to have cooked for dinner later that day.

Kite Surfing: Full of adrenaline. Perfect spot. All safety equipment and certified instructor.

Horseback Riding: Either on the beach, down the roads or up into the hillsides. Choose to ride for a couple of hours, half day or six hour excursions to the Indian reserve if you like.

Surfing Lessons: We have very good surfers who can teach you the basics of surfing, have you out there and with a little time have you up and riding waves. This is often done at the beach where the boats are docked, or over at a fun easy break called “Rancho del Mar”.

Surf Tours: Knowledgeable bi-lingual Guides take you where tides are right for the break, as well as where surf may be breaking best!

Kayaking: Gulf kayaking with experienced guide. Head down the coast to view the landscapes from the ocean. Excellent recreational exercise. Should be a reasonably good swimmer and in good physical shape.

Paddle boarding: We have a company who can take you out on the gulf in uncrowded low surf areas to explore the different beaches or simply get out on the water.

Bicycle Rentals: Get a bike and venture out around the area! It’s fun just to ride down the road running along the beach and find yourselves your own private beach.

Auto Rentals: We can arrange auto rentals for you with a variety of choices. A delivery and drop off charge may apply and can be expensive.

In Country Domestic flights or Private Charter Flights: We can reserve and confirm various flights available for you. With Domestic flights surcharges apply.

Hotel Reservations: If you need to have a hotel reserved for you, we are happy to assist.

Chocolate Tour: Don’t miss this change! You will love it! Call us to coordinate. Close by!

Rental was unavailable
The day before we were to arrive I received a message from the owner stating the house we rented was unavailable due to work on the pool. So I can not review this rental. However Carolina, the property manager found us another house, it did not have a pool but was very nice.

Great relaxing stay in a quiet area of Costa Rica
This duplex is in an area that is excellent for surfing. We are in our 70s so this was not our reason for going. We wanted to explore the southern part of Costa Rica. We had been in the northern part in an earlier trip. This area does not have tons of tourists as it is a bit remote. The roads in the area are not paved and you will need a vehicle to get around. ( suv 4 wheel drive is recommended). We liked the beach but pay attention to the undertow in areas. The duplrx has a small pool but big enough to cool off in. The pool has a shelter over it so that helps you keep a bit cooler on the hot days. We enjoyed the birds, squirrel monkeys , horses and dogs! I went horseback riding in a beach just south of Pavones and had a great sunset ride. The local were vey helpful as were our hosts. We were missing some glasses. It the manager if the property dropped sone off the next morning.
